Flowers in the Rain

Lo and behold, it's the end of April!

Raise your hand if you're excited about the beautifully long weekend we have ahead of us... ah, how I love public holidays. :)

Today's post features a bracelet that I made for my mummy. The name comes from the stone beads that are featured in this bracelet (also previously featured here). As they're known as Rain Flower Stones (雨花石), I thought it'd be fitting.
An oriental-inspired bracelet featuring a chinese knot link, pink-green-translucent rain flower stones, white opal and rose opal chinese crystal doughnuts.

Item Code & Name: 389 Flowers in the Rain
Price: RM18.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: White Opal / Rose Opal Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Rain Flower Stones, Chinese Knot Link
Measurements: Approximately 17.5cm (including clasp)

Good night, go forth, and enjoy your mini-holiday, dear readers! :)

Frosted Hearts - Customised

Relatively short post coz it's late! :D

My friend Ai Li is no stranger to this blog, and now makes a reappearance in the pair of earrings that she recently customised. She really liked the pretty crystal doughnuts that I recently featured in this pair of earrings, you see, and wanted me to customise something with them.

Here's Frosted Hearts -

Chinese crystal doughnuts of the opal/frosted variety - soft and sweet shades of white opal, rose opal and lavender opal, with celtic heart beads. The white opal crystals are almost invisible in the picture above (largely due to my lack of photoshop skillz), so the picture below is against a silver background for clearer viewing.

Item Code & Name: 388 Frosted Hearts
Price: RM8.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: White Opal / Rose Opal / Lavender Opal Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Celtic Heart Beads

So if you're looking for a demure and sweet pair of earrings, look no further!

Hope Springs

So... my mummy somehow managed to lose the handbag charm that I made for her (here!) (or someone stole it off her handbag, le gasp!), so I made her a new one.

This one features the same Live Love Laugh charm, and some new stones that I found in Bangkok that I am super in love with. Here's Hope Springs:
Charms and beads that remind me of my mum the most - Hope, an encouragement to always Live well, Laugh often and Love always. Made with love, and featuring my newest Bangkok find - these lovely semi-precious stones that I think are Rain Flower Stones (雨花石). I can't be very sure, since these weren't labelled in the tiny Chatuchak stall that I found them in... but aren't they pretty? Adore the pinkish green blend, and the stones are cool to the touch.
Item Code & Name: 384 Hope Springs
Price: RM15.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Rain Flower Stones, Hope Bead, Made With Love Charm, Live Love Laugh Charm

This is dedicated to all the mummies out there. :)

Opalline

Hi folks!

I'm excited about this post as it's the first to feature beads from Bangkok! So after braving the scorching and sweltering and crawl-out-of-your-skin and douse-yourself-in-icecubes heat of Chatuchak, I found the section and lanes that sold beads! Row after row of semi-precious stones and crystals and beads. *___* Being the fine example of self-control that I am, I limited myself to a few choice purchases.

Here's the first, named opalline, as it features chinese crystal doughnuts in pretty opal shades.

I've not been able to find these shades here -- rose opal and lavender opal chinese crystal doughnuts, coupled with my favourite clover links and cutesy rose charms. Absolutely adoreee the cloudy opal shades of these crystals.
Item Code & Name: 383 Opalline
Price: RM8.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Rose Opal / Lavender Opal Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Clover Links, Rose Charms

If you like these lovely frosted shades, order a remake of this or customise something with them.
All you gotta do is email me at

Now excuse me while I go stare at my beads for a while. :D Adieu!

Garden Blossoms - Customised

 Happy Thursday!

Sometimes, my customers come up with the best ideas. :) When my well of ideas runs dry, they manage to dream up ideas that look much prettier than what I could've envisioned. :D Crowd-sourcing, yo!

Melanie, who is a necklace enthusiast, really liked the gorgeous magenta flower ceramic bead from this necklace. She wanted it combined with faux pearls, and after a few revisions, we incorporated the lovely Believe ring and this is the result!

Faux pearls in an almost-ombre sequence of sweet pink, dusty pink and maroon, and a ceramic bead with magenta blossoms dangling from a Believe ring.

The antique brass links and chain complement the pink/purple/red tones of this necklace.

Item Code & Name: 381 Garden Blossoms
Price: RM22.00
Status: [Sold], Available for Remakes
Materials: Sweet Pink, Dusty Pink & Maroon Faux Pearls, Believe Ring, Magenta-Flower Ceramic Bead

Amulette

Oh, Mondays.
Mondays aren't fun days.
But the worst is over and it's 4 more days till the weekend!

You know what else starts with the letter M? Mushrooms and Macarons! Way back when, I posted this Jars of Clay collection, featuring clay beads and charms. Among these beads and charms were the cutest mushroom and macaron charms ever. :)

Jaycee wanted to customise some handbag charms for herself and for her friends, and wanted to include both these charms. Here are the matching accessories. :)

Cupid Strikes

Hello!

Sorry I've been missing in action. I wanted to post yesterday, but was so tired I fell asleep at 9pm. (If that's not a sign of ageing, I don't know what is!). It's been a busy, tiring couple of workdays, so yay TGIF!

Before I go off and enjoy the start of my weekend, here's a pretty necklace customised by Melanie. She liked the circle links and arrow links from the Noir bracelet, and after a few revisions to it, we arrived at this design in sweet rosaline and lilac tones.
A slightly asymmetrical necklace with rosaline faux pearls and chinese crystal doughnuts accompanying circle and arrow links on each side, with a lilac rose cabochon pendant and twin dangling chains.

Named Cupid Strikes for the little arrow heart links and circle links (almost like Cupid's target). This is possibly one of Dainty Little Trinkets' sweetest creations. :)

Item Code & Name: 374 Cupid Strikes
Price: RM25.00
Status: [Sold], Not Available (unless you don't mind substituting the lilac rose cabochon with a different colour)
Materials: Rosaline Faux Pearls, Rosaline Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Circle Links, Arrow Heart Links, A Lilac Rose Cabochon on a Flower Filigree
Measurements: Approximately 44.5cm (including clasp), extender = 4cm

Vintage Spring

Good evening, ladyfolk.

I am suffering from Sunday Night Blues and also a pounding headache, so this post shall be as short as succinct as I can be (i.e. short for me, but still too cheonghei for the regular person) :p

Here's a bookmark that reminds me of springtime...  the kind of spring that you daydream about, a half-faded memory, a certain sense of nostalgia, wistful feelings for a time gone by...
An antique brass bookmark with flower engravings, accompanied by a clover link, a butterfly link, rosaline and dusty pink faux pearls, and a beautiful rose key charm. I used to have a silver version of this bookmark, which is unfortunately not available anymore. This antique brass version is equally (if not more) beautiful, though. :)
Item Code & Name: 372 Vintage Spring
Price: RM18.00
Status: Available
Materials: Rosaline & Dusty Pink Faux Pearls, Clover Link, Butterfly Link, Rose Key Charm

If you like bookmarks, check out somemore here.
Looks like it's been a week of featuring antique brass trinkets. Click here for more!

Good night, fair folk.
Don't let the bed bugs bite.

Watercolour

Every now and then you experience lapses in creativity and cannot think of nice names to name your creations.

This is one of those times!

I recently acquired these pretty, translucent watercolour faux pearls and decided to make myself a pair of earrings with it. I wanted something simple and dainty, as is my usual modus operandi. :)

Here, oh-so-creatively named Watercolour, is my new favourite pair of earrings:

Celtic Square Beads matched with the white faux pearls that have pretty splashes of pastel paint, which gives them a watercolour effect.
Item Code & Name: 364 Watercolour
Price: RM6.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Pastel Watercolour Faux Pearls, Celtic Square Beads

That's all for now :) If you like the look of these pretty pearls, you can always customise something to your fancy!

Good night, and to all those who are travelling, have a safe journey and wonderful holiday season!

Spotlight - Double-Chained

Yo yo yo!

This is probably the most ghetto my blog has ever been, bro!

Haha, if you're wondering whether I've lost my mind, the answer is no. My mind was lost a long long time ago. :p If you're wondering what possessed me to post a picture of 2 Chainz (is that actually 2 Chainz? I have no idea. Is his name two-chains or two-chainz or 2-chainz?)... well, in this picture, 2 chainz/two-chains/two-chainz is indeed wearing two chains. Two very bling, very in-your-face gold chains. Which brings me to today's spotlight post - double-chained trinkets!

(I know, I know, my mind works in mysterious ways).

Here are some much less bling and IMHO daintier and prettier two-chained trinkets - click on the name of the trinket to go to the original posts!)
 Dusty Spring (RM16)
 Vintage Romance (RM20)
 Mystique (RM20)
Where Your Treasure Is (RM32)

So if you'd fancy some two-chainz for yourself, dawg, just hit me up at

(In Japan right now, so replies may take a few days, depending on whether or not I have internet!)

Nymphaea
~ a genus of hardy and tender aquatic plants known commonly as waterlilies.

I have a new flower cabochon to share - it's a water lily, in a sweet, striking vintage pink shade, incorporated into a bookmark for my friend Esther. Believe it or not, we've reached the last of the Christmas presents I've made. This one, I particularly like. It also features a new bookmark, with pretty flower motifs.

Kelsey's Keychains

I'm baaaaaaack!

Back with a bang!
Or should I say "back with a clang"... you know, the clanging sounds that keys make? Coz this post is about keychains? No?

That joke kinda fell flat huh. It's been too long since I last blogged; gotta get back that joking mojo. I blame my current immuno-compromised state! It's not my fault that I'm not firing on all cylinders! So anywaaaay.

This post is about a couple of keychains that my long-time customer Kelsey customised for herself and her friends! The base of the design comes from this keychain that I made as a farewell present for Ai Li some months back. These three keychains have separate colour themes, a different charm, and different alphabets. :)
Matching blue, pink, green keychains for an inseparable set of friends!
The one that bears the closest resemblance to the original keychain, this one has frosted blue and aqumarine chinese crystal doughnuts.

Spotlight - Colourful Clay

You know the drill -
I am still on vacation and this is a scheduled post!

Today's spotlight post will feature all things made from polymer clay!
First, have a pretty colourful picture:

Isn't it amazing, the kinds of things humans can craft from clay? There is truly no limit to creativity (well, there's a limit to mine, but not some other creative souls). Aside from colourful clay jars and all sorts of beautiful decorative items, polymer clay has been used by all sorts of arty farty people to create gorgeous little charms and beads.

Over the course of this year, I've purchased quite a lot of beautiful clay charms and beads, so here are some accessories featuring them (click on the names to go to the original posts for more pictures)!
 I Believe (RM22)
 Porcelain (RM20)
 Lil' Shroom (RM12)

How adorable are those mushrooms above, yeah?

So go forth and browse and email me at daintylittletrinkets@gmail.com to purchase stuff!

I'm still on vacation, so email responses may take a few days, so please bear with me yeah.

You don't bring me flowers
You don't sing my love songs...

Haha, okay. This is not that kinda post. We are not about to be jiwang here. Today's scheduled post is about all things flowery and beautiful! Firstly, feast your eyes on this gorgeous photo:

Flowers are truly a magnificent creation of God - so striking, so colourful, so exquisitely intricate. Here are some creations that feature pretty flower cabochons and beads!
