Strawberry Latte

Hope everyone has had a nice and restful Sunday. :)

Today's post showcases the companion piece to the Suede Braids bracelet that I made for mummy. While mummy's is composed of sombre dark gray and dark purple suede with a dash of bright carolina blue, with silver findings, this one is in sweet and warm colours, with antique brass findings.

I hereby dub it Strawberry Latte, for reasons which are obvious and shall be elaborated on in glorious long-winded detail.
Braided suede in shades of sugary pink, beige and brown, resembling that of a strawberry-flavoured latte (Oh Starbucks, can you work on this drink please? Especially to make up for the fact that you are no longer serving my precious Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino). I am quite in love with this combination of colours, especially when paired with antique brass findings.
At the end of the braided bracelet is an adorable little wing charm. It's one of the things I just had to buy when I started buying antique brass charms.
Item Code & Name: 322 Strawberry Latte
Price: RM15.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Pink, Beige and Brown Suede, Wing Charm
Measurements: Approximately 16cm (including clasp)

Remakes are of course adjustable to your own wrist size. This one is freakishly small because my wrists are freakishly small. :)

If you like the sugary shade of pink featured in this bracelet, check out Fairy Floss Christmas too!

Reminder that I'm going on vacay soon! (Can't hardly wait). Read more here.

If you like stuff with wings, check out some silver winged trinkets here, here and here!

That's all for tonight.
Thanks for reading, folks.

Reinventions

One of my favourite things to do is reinvent old knick-knacks.

When my friend Jah wanted to recycle an old chunky bracelet, I thought it'd be cool to take it apart and make earrings out of them! Voila - one bracelet now has become two pairs of earrings. :)

Wirework using miyuki beads in shades of gold and brown - whoever made these initial circular and square bits is definitely far more skilled than I am. :) They make two pretty pairs of funky earrings,  no? :D

Status: Not Available
Materials: An old bracelet :D

Happy Saturday, my friends!

Sorry for the lack of new content this week. There's some new stuff coming up this week! :)
In the meantime, check out the clearance sale!

Red Earth

On leave today. :D
Been on a Vampire Diaries marathon. Didn't expect the storyline to be as compelling as it's been. Heh, compelling. Only just finished Season 2, and I'm eager to continue, so this shall be a short post!

It's been a while since I made a pair of asymmetrical earrings, so here's one in shades of red, gold, and brown:

Red Earth: asymmetrically-arranged flower disc beads, maroon faux pearls and round-faceted chinese crystals in shades of smoked topaz, brown and honey topaz.
Item Code & Name: 273 Red Earth
Price: RM8.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Maroon Faux Pearls, Smoked Topaz, Brown & Honey Topaz Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Flower Disc Beads

I like the earthy red tones of this piece. Such rich, warm autumn colours!

If you like, you can order this at

Check out other asymmetrical creations here!

Going back to the riveting tale of vampires, witches and Mystic Falls now.

Flower Power

Flower Power
 - a slogan in the 60s / 70s era of hippies, to symbolise passive resistance and non-violence in opposition to war. Many people in this movement dressed in colourful, psychedelic clothing, and wore flowers in their hair.

I reckon I could've been a hippie rocking the "flower power" look if I lived during that era. :p Violence is never the answer, yo.

Anyway, inspiration for the name of this pair of earrings came due to the abundance of flowers in this pair of earrings, which I randomly decided to make for myself:

Dainty little flower links that resemble stained glass paintings, with smoked topaz crystal doughnuts connected to gorgeously intricate flower filigrees.
I like the smoked topaz crystal doughnuts quite a bit! Such a unique colour.

Item Code & Name: 268 Flower Power
Price: RM8.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Smoked Topaz Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Flower Links, Flower Filigrees

Flowers, flowers everywhere!
If you like flowers, check out the "flowers" label for accessories featuring flower beads, flower charms, flower cabochons, clay flowers, FLOWERS! ❀❀❀

G'night.

Milk & Cookies | Jars of Clay Collection: Part 5

Who stole the cookie in the cookie jar?

Me, always, me. :) Ah, cookies. I love cookies, especially Oreos. And like the infamous duos that come before them - burger and fries, eggs and bacon, tea and scones, coffee and biscotti - cookies always go with milk.

Part 5 of the Jars of Clay collection marks a new phase for this collection. Instead of the classy Lun Bawang beads that have featured in the past 4 items, the next 3 trinkets will showcase handmade polymer clay creations - cutesy, fun, in cheery bright colours or sweet pastel shades. First, we have a pair of earrings dubbed Milk & Cookies, for reasons that are apparent below:

White shell beads that resemble the pearly, creamy texture of milk, with adorable brown cookie charms - good enough to eat!

The cookie charms are very intricately made - observe the little "imperfections" on the texture of the cookie, resembling the baked texture of the real life cookie! Yum.

Item Code & Name: 264 Milk & Cookies
Price: RM12.00
Status: Available
Materials: Shell Beads, Brown Cookie Charms

Hungry? I know I am!

Lunchtime - toodles!

Spotlight - Nature

Hola amigos!

I'm still on vacation, so this is a scheduled post!

Ah, mother earth. What a wonderful world - and how beautiful is God's creation that is all around us. Sometimes when I pause to think about it, I am in awe of the intricacies of each living thing, of each breathtakingly beautiful sunset, of the mystery and magnificence of the ocean, of the roots and origins of each tall tree. Nature is truly wondersome, and here are some pieces that I have made in the past in tribute to it:

(The names of each trinket link to the original posts!)

Are you a nature-lover? Want something to wear that represents your love for the environment?

Email me at daintylittletrinkets@gmail.com to order!

Still on vacation, but will be back soon.
See you soon. :)

For Shyuan

Alas, April has come and gone.
How the months fly by and how time passes in the blink of an eye.

As I am writing this post, my heart is a little heavy - today was a dear colleague and friend's last day at work. As the mandarin saying goes -  天下无不散之宴席 - all good things must come to an end. So this is a tiny tribute to one of the sweetest people I have had the privilege and blessing to meet, who is like the little sister I never had - Shyuan.

Very few people have the distinction of being so genuinely nice, kind-hearted and accepting of others, and Shyuan is one of the special few. They are the kind who inspire you to be a better person and make you think that yes, there is some good in this world. :) So thank you, girl, for being such a wonderful human being and friend. ♥

Here's a keychain I made for her:
Earth tones for the budding environmentalist, a cross to symbolise the faith she professes, a Joy charm as she has been a joy to be around, and an encouragement to never give up as she continues to pursue her dreams, whatever they may be.
Shyuan Shyuan, may you continue to be a blessing and joy in the lives of all those around you. Wishing you lots of amazing adventures and new experiences as you start your new chapter in life and fly far away from home. *muah*

Item Code & Name: 222 Persevere with Joy
Price: RM12.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Pale Peach, Honey Topaz and Light Brown Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Cross Charm, Joy Charm, "Never Never Give Up" Charm
Check out other keychains here!
I'll leave you with a lovely Jason Mraz song in dedication to my friend. :)
Hold your own
Know your name
Go your own way
And everything will be fine.

Pocahontas | Disney Princesses Collection: Part 3

Earth day was just a couple of days ago, so the latest princess to be featured in the Disney Princess collection comes at an opportune time!

Pocahontas, who is the best advocate for caring for our environment, loving animals and being one with nature, also has the distinction of being one of the first non-white princesses in the Disney franchise. Yay for representation of different races! Given Pocahontas's love for nature, this bracelet is naturally nature-themed. :)

You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name

A bracelet of green round-faceted chinese crystals and brown AB Czech Preciosa crystals, dainty clover links, a swallow link, a green sunflower on a flower filigree, and a "Sycamore" tree.
How high will the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know

Item Code & Name: 215 Pocahontas
Price: RM20.00
Status: Available
Materials: Green Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Brown AB Czech "Preciosa" Fire-Polished Glass Beads, Clover Links, Swallow Link, Green Sunflower Cabochon, Flower Filigree, Tree Charm, Princess Charm, Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 17.5cm (including clasp)

Friendly reminder that the princess charm can be exchanged for a "made with love" charm, as seen here!

Signing off now with the amazingly-written Colours of the Wind from Pocahontas.
Such great lyrics and melody.

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew

Autumn in My Heart | Seasons Collection: Part 4

Seasons come and seasons go,
and now it's time for the last post of the Seasons collection.

We are concluding in Autumn, that season where trees turn into a gorgeous hue of golden brown and rustic red, the temperatures dip, and people start preparing for the cold to set in. I've always loved the richness and warm hues of autumn, and here is a bracelet that hopefully represents it:
A bracelet in the warm hues of rich coral red, soft gold and honey topaz, paired with beads and charms of nature - a tiny bird, a tree and tree branch engravings, fitted with a heart toggle clasp.
I particularly love the beads with tree-branch engravings - so very intricate and lovely.
If you love autumn, here's the bracelet for you!

Item Code & Name: 205 Autumn in My Heart
Price: RM18.00 SALE: RM13.50 only (25% off, while item remains Available)
Status: Available
Materials: Coral Red and Gold Faux Pearls, Honey Topaz Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Bird Bead, Tree Charm, Beads with Tree Branch Engravings
Measurements: Approximately 18.5cm (including clasp)

I haven't made any trinkets with this exact golden-brown-red colour scheme yet, so here's to firsts! :)

Find out how to order here :)

Wishing all my lovely readers a happy, relaxing weekend.

For Ley Ser

I love Fall colours - warm hues of maple leaf crimson, burnt orange and copper brown.

I have a colleague who is warm and cheery and bright, so Autumn colours are very much her. Made her this pair of earrings to reflect that:

Crimson and copper-brown chinese crystal doughnuts paired with dainty antique silver-plated flowers.
Ahhhh I love this colour combo. I also love the idea of a season-inspired collection - what if I were to make variations of these earrings, for summer, spring and winter? Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps...

Item Code & Name: 012 Autumn Flowers
Price: RM8.00
Status: Available for remakes (with chinese crystal doughnuts of slightly different shades)
Materials: Crimson and Copper Brown Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Flower Links
