Magenta Mine

In a bit of a melancholy mood tonight, so indulge me a little, dear readers.

And I shall preface this with a little "yes, yes, I know that this is an accessories business and not an outlet for the silly author's feelings"... so I shall keep it short. You ever feel just a little bit lost, a bit unmoored in the vast ocean that is life? Yeah... I get struck with that feeling sometimes, and now is one of those times.

So I decided to wallow a little by listening to one of the most bittersweet and wistful Chinese oldies that I know. I had to share it, coz sharing is caring, ya know? Gosh, cry me a river and let me drown in those tears.

Okay, now that I've gotten those feelings out of the way, we're onto the actual point of this post.

Here's a pair of earrings I made for myself, coz today is apparently a me day:

 Magenta flower-painted ceramic beads, with magenta faux pearls. Made to match one of my Bangkok acquisitions. Named Magenta Mine because they're magenta... and they're mine. I'm oozing creativity, I know.

Wine Blossoms

Hello dear readers!

This shall be a short post because I am in the midst of planning for my trip to Japan (one month to go!) and it is quite late already and tomorrow is the start of a loooooong work week. /whine

Anyway, this is the part where I start featuring all the Christmas gifts that I gave to my friends during Christmas!

First is something I made for Wei Lyn, which is probably my favourite Christmas gift that I've given, largely because I adore the magenta-flower ceramic beads that this pair of earrings feature:

Hello, friends. 

This is an advanced birthday greeting post to my friend and colleague Anujah! :)

Anujah's birthday falls on 31st Dec, the last day of the year. Since I've already given her this present, I can now share it here. :) It's one of my favourite asymmetrical necklaces, which I shall go into detail about (oh you bet I will, hehe) further down in this post. First up, pictures!

 An asymmetrical necklace in the style of the Eternal Flame necklaces, but instead of a heart, capped off with a magenta faux pearl, a clover link, and the star of the show - a ruby baroque Swarovski pendant. 

 Named Royale because the pendant is very royal and regal-looking, much like Jah herself! Gotta love the rich ruby shade of the pendant, matched with the magenta faux pearl. The Swarovski pendant is very intricately cut, with many facets. Also, this necklace can be adjusted to different lengths by moving the infinity link up and down - very versatile to match your different blouse/dress necklines. :)

Magenta Blossoms

Can I have a show of hands for those of you who remember the Jars of Clay collection?

Heh!

The Jars of Clay collection featured dainty little trinkets made with clay beads or polymer clay charms, and I'm happy to introduce another one of my more recent shopping finds - a ceramic bead delicately hand-painted with beautifully magenta-coloured blossoms. I fell in love with these beads the moment I laid eyes on them, and of course had to purchase them. 

Don't tell anyone, but they're so pretty, sometimes I take them out of their little box in my storage units just to admire them a little. I can't help it. I like pretty things. (*˘︶˘*).｡.:*♡

Fuchsia Fusion | Ombré Collection: Part 4

Hello, my friends.

I hope the weekend has been treating you well!

We are nearing the end of the Ombré Collection. Hope you've been enjoying yourselves so far. Part 4 of this collection of pretty colour gradients is a bracelet - it's been far too long since this blog featured a bracelet. I've named this trinket Fuchsia Fusion because fuchsia is a vivid purple-red colour, named after a pretty genus of flowering plants, and because the word "fusion" implies that the colours are fusing with each other, which fits this collection's theme nicely. ❀
