Summer Scent - Customised

Weekends are so very lovely, and I hope you're having a good one yourself. 

One of my favourite things to do is when customers like a particular creation of mine, and ask me to expand on that design to create a matching set. My colleague Kim asked me to customise a set based on the Summer Scent earrings, which was really fun for me to do. 

Originally made as part of the Seasons collection, the earrings were supposed to convey the bright and fresh scent of summer, in warm yellow, blue and green tones. Imagine a warm summer day when the sky is blue, the sun is shining, and you are walking through a field of brilliant green. Hope you like this matching set! :)

 My favourite piece in the set - a dainty necklace with tiny yellow, turquoise and emerald crystals that fall at the clavicle, and a pendant featuring an aquamarine Swarovski heart hanging from the requisite diamond link.

Autumn in My Heart | Seasons Collection: Part 4

Seasons come and seasons go,

and now it's time for the last post of the Seasons collection.

We are concluding in Autumn, that season where trees turn into a gorgeous hue of golden brown and rustic red, the temperatures dip, and people start preparing for the cold to set in. I've always loved the richness and warm hues of autumn, and here is a bracelet that hopefully represents it:

 A bracelet in the warm hues of rich coral red, soft gold and honey topaz, paired with beads and charms of nature - a tiny bird, a tree and tree branch engravings, fitted with a heart toggle clasp.

 I particularly love the beads with tree-branch engravings - so very intricate and lovely.

Summer Scent | Seasons Collection: Part 3

It's been raining cats and dogs recently huh?

Looks like we're well into "rainy" season here in Malaysia. Speaking of Seasons, the 3rd installment in the Seasons collection is an ode to the only actual "season" we experience - summer! Now when I hear the word "summer", I immediately think of Olaf the snowman waxing lyrical about summer. Who's with me? :p

Anyway, for those who experience 4 seasons, summer is much longed for, especially in the colder months. When I was studying in Australia, everyone would be out on a hot summer's day - in tank tops and board shorts, crowding to the nearest beach to work on a summer tan. I can certainly see the appeal after months of being swaddled in layers of winter clothing.

Here are a pair of earrings dedicated to the bright and breezy colours of summer!

 When I think of summer, I think of sun-soaked warmth, brilliant blue skies and the green, green grass of home. Spring Waltz | Seasons Collection: Part 2

Hello dear readers, April is here!

I debated about whether or not to prank you all with an April fool's joke, then realised that probably no one would believe me. Also, I don't have a large enough number of readers to prank. So here's to a prank-less April fool's day!

It's time for Part 2 of the Seasons Collection - this time, a tribute to Spring.

Ah, spring, lovely spring. When all the ice from winter thaws, and sunlight shines through, and flowers bloom, and birds chirp, and a gentle breeze blows. There are plenty of accessories on here that sorta represent spring, what with the large number of accessories with flowers in them. So here's something a little different, with a new charm that I am quite in love with -

Winter Sonata | Seasons Collection: Part 1

Lovely evening to all ye readers.

Hope your weekend has been a lovely relaxing one spent with your loved ones.
I've just returned from Singapore and I am dead tired, so if this post is slightly wacky or does not make sense, I apologize!

 Part 1 of the Seasons collection is an ode to winter. Winter has received much spotlight lately thanks to the fantastic Disney cartoon Frozen. I'm sure I speak for a lot of us when I say that the snow and ice in that movie are a glorious sight to behold. 

I am particularly fond of wintry hues - from the frosty whiteness of the snow that covers every surface, to the icy blue of the sky on a cold winter's day. Hopefully the long necklace below captures this.

 A long necklace peppered with dainty snowflake links and snowflake charms, clear blue and frosted blue round faceted chinese crystals, frosty white Czech Preciosa crystals, flower links and clover links. 

 A closeup of the assorted crystals and links on the necklace. I am particularly fond of the embossed white Czech Preciosa crystals.

Best matched with boat-necked tops and dresses, this long necklace adds a little flair to any outfit.

This new collection is a tribute to the four seasons in a year - to winter, spring, summer and autumn. I know the region we live in is just one big season of scorching humidity and can be more accurately described as "rainy season" or "hazy season", but that makes the appreciation of the changing seasons all the more wonderful. I love how as the temperature rises and falls, all that surrounds you changes with it. From the freshness of spring to the sun-soaked summer, from the vivid richness of autumn to the frosty hues of winter.

If you're wondering why the titles sound familiar, it is because they are intentionally so! Being the corny ridiculous person that I am, I thought it'd be funny to name them after the famed Korean dramas that basically started the whole Korean craze. Ah, those were the days.
