Oh Friday, beautiful Friday. TGIF!

If you're a long-time reader of this blogshop, you would've noticed that I'm a creature of habit. Posts usually go up on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Today I'm breaking protocol because today - 9th of May 2014 is a very special day - my dearest mummy's birthday. She's turning a big 60 (though she looks as young and beautiful as ever). 

My mummy is no stranger to this blog - she's the one who accompanies me on my bead binge-shopping expeditions, is my sounding board for all of my ideas, and my favourite person to make things for. She's not one who wears much accessories, so this time I made her something she could hang on her handbag, something that matches what I have hanging on my bag!

Way back when, I fell in love with one of my own creations (oh, you narcissist, you) from the Words to Live By collection - this Live. Laugh. Love piece. So I made one for myself. :D Here's a corresponding one for my mummy in soft peach tones.

Je t'aime | Words to Live By Collection: Part 5

We've reached the end of the Words to Live By collection. Do you have a favourite? Mine is definitely the Live. Laugh. Love. keychain featured on Sunday. In fact, if no one buys it in the next few days, I might keep it for myself. :p


Part 5 of this collection will end with a necklace, a simple choker-style necklace with a simple message: all you need is Love.

 Adorn your neck with this dainty design - Love in cursive script, flanked by tiny faux pearls in lavender, rosaline and ivory, and a gorgeous light amethyst Swarovski heart dangling off the L of Love.

 Je t'aime is french for "I love you", which I thought would be a sweet and romantic name fitting for this dainty necklace.

Live. Laugh. Love. | Words to Live By Collection: Part 4

As I am writing this post, there's still no confirmed news of the whereabouts of MH370. My heart goes out to the passengers and crew of the flight, and their family and friends. Please spare some time to pray for them, if you can.

Unexpected and inexplicable tragedies like these really remind you to cherish your life and your loved ones. Life is short, and one never knows what the future may bring. So as much as we can, let us live meaningfully, laugh with abandon, and love one another.

In some ways, Part 4 of the Words to Live By collection is quite apt for these times. Simply titled Live. Laugh. Love., may this be a reminder to you and me to make the most of this temporal place we call home.

 A keychain with grey AB, embossed white and metallic dark silver Czech Preciosa crystals, a slate blue daisy cabochon on a flower filigree, a chinese knot link and the focus of it all: a charm encouraging you to live, laugh, and love.

 This is my favourite of the collection, partly because of the slate blue daisy, partly because of the chinese knot link that has for me symbolised the bond of family and friends, and particularly because of the message. If there are any words one should live by, it is these.

I Believe | Words to Live By Collection: Part 3

Good morning! (Or good day, or good evening, whatever time it is for you as you are reading this!)

Oh how I love Saturdays, let me count the ways. :D

It's a packed day for me, things to do, places to be, so this shall be a rather short post. Still longer than standard blogshop posts, but that's what you get from a verbose person like me! (Colin Firth, in Bridget Jones' Diary, referred to this condition as "verbal incontinence", which is both hilarious and a little bit gross. Colin Firth though. Mmm. British accents. Mmm.)

Part 3 of the Words to Live By collection features a bookmark that I am rather fond of, simply named I Believe.

 Adorn your books with this dainty little bookmark featuring a lone lilac pearl, a flower disc bead, a lovely lilac and purple polymer clay rose, a deep purple round faceted chinese crystal and a charm to remind you to Believe in love.

 On the bookmark, can you spy the intricate flower-pattern engravings? I believe in love - not just romantic love, but love in all its forms - friendship, family, love for country, love from God. Ultimately, that's what gets us humans through the day, and connects us to each other.

Everlasting Love | Words to Live By Collection: Part 1

Hello people of the world!

It's getting late, so I'll (try to) keep this post short. Today marks the first post in the Words to Live By Collection, and I'm excited about it for a number of reasons:

1. I'm always excited about new collections. :D

2. The bracelet is double-chained (which is a nice continuation of the latest Double Double Toil and Trouble collection)

3. This marks the use of a new material - faux suede! I'm venturing into the unknown, exploring new frontiers and all. :p

Without further ado, here's Everlasting Love:

 A double-"chained" bracelet featuring an infinity link wrapped in dark gray faux suede, and a Love link connected to a silver-plated chain. Infinity + Love = Everlasting Love.

 The suede and the silver chain are linked at the end with a lobster clasp and an extender chain.

A new month calls for a new collection!

Remember the Personalised Statement Bracelets collection?

That was a popular collection that is still getting requests for customisation till this day, I guess because of the personal (duh, haha) nature of the collection - that you get to customise each bracelet with a personal message to encourage and inspire yourself, or the person you want to give it to. 

Since I've bought a slew of new charms and links with inspirational words on them (and any reader of this blog would know that I looooove words, verbose as I am), I decided that it was high time to introduce another collection with inspirational and encouraging words.
