If Music Be The Food Of Love - Customised

I was going to wish you Happy Valentine's Day, but then am only posting this on late Sunday night, and it's technically Monday already. Oh well, I'm gonna do it anyway -- Happy Valentine's Day, my dear readers! 

Hope you had a great day in or out with your special someone, and that the love you experienced yesterday is evident in your life every day and will last on through the ages. :) How's that for a cheesy greeting, eh? Can't help it, I spent it attending someone's wedding, and what could be more romantic than weddings, right? Hehe.

In celebration of that, this post features a couple's keychain set that my friend Tien Mie customised for Joseph and Jenna, who got married end of last year.

Music is a large part of their lives, hence the matching antique brass treble clef charms, and an encouragement to the young couple to Live, Laugh and Love. This contains their initials, and a Hope bead or Joy charm respectively. Named after the beautiful Shakespearean quote - If music be the food of love, play on.

Kelsey's Keychains

I'm baaaaaaack!

Back with a bang!

Or should I say "back with a clang"... you know, the clanging sounds that keys make? Coz this post is about keychains? No?

That joke kinda fell flat huh. It's been too long since I last blogged; gotta get back that joking mojo. I blame my current immuno-compromised state! It's not my fault that I'm not firing on all cylinders! So anywaaaay.

This post is about a couple of keychains that my long-time customer Kelsey customised for herself and her friends! The base of the design comes from this keychain that I made as a farewell present for Ai Li some months back. These three keychains have separate colour themes, a different charm, and different alphabets. :)

Matching blue, pink, green keychains for an inseparable set of friends!

 The one that bears the closest resemblance to the original keychain, this one has frosted blue and aqumarine chinese crystal doughnuts.

Jardin Secret - Customised

Those who grew up learning the piano in Malaysia in the 90's will be familiar with our friend Richard Clayderman - famous for playing beautiful pieces like Ballade pour Adeline, Marriage d'Amour, and the like. One of my favourites is Jardin Secret - a beautiful, mysterious piece befitting its name. Jardin is French for garden - a secret garden.

This piece, customised by Jo Jo for a friend, has elements of a secret garden set in France - in red, black and white.

 Opaque red and glittering black chinese crystal doughnuts, accompanied by white Lun Bawang clay beads with black swirls, a butterfly charm, an asymmetrical leaf charm, an Eiffel tower charm, and an initial of her friend.

 The pretty Lun Bawang clay beads have been featured in the Jars of Clay collection - check out more clay creations here.

Madame Butterfly

Hello people!

Today's post features something I made for a friend, but because I haven't actually given this present to this friend yet, I'll have to be mildly cryptic. Once upon a time, my friend told me this joke:

Why did the man climb up a tower to throw butter out of the window?

To watch the butter fly!

Haha, what a ridiculously corny joke, but this friend of mine was tickled pink by it. She continues to be so amused that she can't say this joke without laughing her head off. We laugh because she laughs! 

Long story short, I've always associated butterflies with her.

Today's been a looooong day but I am excited about this post because it's the first customised bridal order that I've received. It's also the first time I've incorporated alphabets into my creations, at the bride's request. It's a day of firsts!

A while back, Rozy wrote to me and wanted to customise bracelet and earring sets for her bridesmaids. After browsing through my humble little site, she told me that she liked the design of the Milky Way bracelet, which acted as the base for this design.
