Sometime last year, I posted the Hearts and Lace collection, which included this pair of earrings that I like quite a bit. Here are some swarovski bicone colour variations!

Violet, light sapphire (the original) and aquamarine.

They're also available in rose, blue zircon and carribean blue opal. :)

Fun fact: my pictures are normally photoshopped to attain a fully white background, but it is sometimes über difficult to do so when you are featuring items with white in them. White lace is a nightmare. So here you have a semi-gray background, to give you a behind-the-scenes look of what we go through from the creation of the trinket, to the photo-taking, to the final presentation (coupled by nonsensical rambling). All in a day's work!

Estella - Customised

Still on vacation!

As you are reading this, I am probably walking along the crater of a long-dormant volcano in Mount Gambier. Cool, huh? Super cool! One of the key tourist attractions of the Mount is the Blue Lake, which is this gorgeous, brilliant blue. 

Which brings me to the point of this vacation post. 

Way back when, I posted this black lace bracelet, accompanied by the Silver Night Swarovski Heart - a classy, stunning affair. Here's something customised for Loretta - the same black lace, with a change in Swarovski Heart - a striking Bermuda Blue.

A black lace band, followed by a jet black chinese crystal doughnut and the most beautiful of all Swarovski hearts (in my humble opinion).

So recently I attended a wedding, and the theme for my friend's wedding was robin's egg blue. (If you're wondering, it is akin to Tiffany blue / a light turquoise blue. A very pretty colour (with a pretty unusual name). Since she also had vintage-themed lace-flag decorations and a delicately exquisite lace wedding gown, I was inspired to make this pair of lace earrings for myself. :D

So here's a late addition to the Hearts and Lace collection, for those who love all things lace.

Spotlight - Swarovski Hearts

Hello dear readers!

This is a scheduled post as I am in Singapore at the moment. :)

Estella - Customised

Friday is near so hang in there!

Here's the second bracelet that I customised recently for Jaycee, this time in lace. Way back when, I posted the Hearts and Lace collection, which included this Estelle bracelet, featuring black lace and a lovely celtic heart. Jaycee wanted something similar, but with a Swarovski Heart. Here's Estella, the more glamorous version of the original:

 Black lace with flower motifs, a jet black chinese crystal doughnut, and a Silver Night Swarovski Heart.

 Instead of a lobster clasp, this bracelet uses a toggle clasp. The Silver Night Swarovski heart is a lot more glittery and stunning than it looks in these pictures. I'm quite liking this new addition to my Swarovski heart family. :)

Pretty in Pink - Customised

This Pretty in Pink bracelet has been one of the best-selling items of Dainty Little Trinkets since I posted it half a year ago. Naturally, I was quite excited when Kelsey wrote to me asking for it to be customised into a long necklace, with a matching bracelet and simple earrings.

Spotlight - Pretty Pastels

Hi folks! I'm still traipsing around Melbourne, so this is a scheduled post. :)

Today's spotlight is on pretty pastel colours.

Ah, how I love pastel tones - baby blues and baby pinks, light lilac and cream tones. Love love love. They give the impression of such demure sweetness. Maybe I should wear more pastels, since demure sweetness tends not to be the impression I give people. *evil cackle* Anyway this post is not about me. Look at this image I found on the internet:

I don't know what they are (mochi? pao?), but I so want to eat them based on appearance alone. The front row has such pretty pastel colours. ◕‿◕

Estelle | Hearts and Lace Collection: Part 4

Lo, the last installment in the Hearts and Lace collection has dawned upon us!

The name Estelle has long been a favourite of mine - derived from the Latin root word Stella, meaning star ☆ and popularised by Charles Dickens for his character Estella in Great Expectations. I first came upon the name while watching the 1992 modern-telling of Great Expectations, starring the starry-eyed, earnest Ethan Hawke and the beautiful but cold and unattainable Gwyneth Paltrow. The movie, for some inexplicable reason, has stayed with me throughout the years. Anyway, this post is not about movies. 

Onto the accessory I have named Estelle:

 Black lace, an intricate celtic heart pendant and a single silver-black crystal - a lone star.

 This piece has a distinctive gothic vibe to it, though the flower-patterned lace and the swirls in the celtic heart soften it a little.

It almost looks like a bookmark - also rather short in length, because it is measured to fit my bony wrists.

Apparently, the name Arielle has Hebrew origins and means Lion of God. The necklace I've named Arielle has nothing leonine or valiant or majestic about it. But it is such a pretty name, no? What follows is what I think is a rather pretty and dainty piece. ◕‿◕

A love affair with lace and Swarovski crystals - a lace flower and rose Swarovski heart pendant, with tiny light rose Swarovski bicones and heart links on the chain.

Hearts and Lace Collection - Masterpost

Lace has been all the rage lately.

Well, it's been all the rage for quite a few years already now, and will probably never go out of style. Not that one always has to keep up with fashion - do what you like, wear what you like, be whoever you wanna be, and all that jazz, yeah? :)

Nevertheless, since I am quite in love with all things lacey (see exhibit A and exhibit B), I have decided to dedicate an entire collection to all things lace!

Decided to name the accessories a little differently this time - all with girl's names that end in -elle, because the names are pretty and represent the sweetness and femininity of the lace accessories pretty well.

The weekend is almost over. *cries*

Anyway, here's another short little post about a pair of earrings I made for Siew Li, who is back from the land of the freeeeeee, and recuperating from yet another psycho-stressful year as a PhD student.

My love affair with lace continues! Have been dying to make a pair of earrings using lace, and here you have it:

 Dainty little lace flowers sandwiched between lavender round-faceted chinese crystals and antique silver-plated rose charms.

 I've named them Fleur de Lace (haha, instead of Fleur de Lis), coz I thrive on wordplay and silly puns. 

I expect that I am only amusing myself here. :p

Of late, I've been having a little love affair with lace - I love it on everything, on pretty blouses, on collars, on dresses.

Was really keen to make a lace accessory to accompany my various lacey clothing, so here you have a dainty little lace bracelet, adorned with pastel-coloured swarovski crystals.
