Key To Your Heart - Customised

Happy Sunday!

I'm trying out this blogging thing from my phone. It's much less convenient - formatting is a chore! Oh well, I'll get to my laptop and add photos and such later. This post shall be a short one. As short as I am capable of being, that is. :p

Continuing in a long line of customised trinkets, here is a necklace customised for Farah. It's a double-chained beauty loosely based on the Lockheart necklace from the Double Double, Toil and Trouble collection - with a change in colours and a substitution of the padlock charm.

On the inner chain - clear crystals flanking tiny heart links and a key charm as a pendant.
On the outer chain - a stunning Bermuda blue AB Swarovski heart.

Who holds the key to your heart?

Item Code & Name: 223 Key to Your Heart
Price: RM32.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Clear Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Tiny Heart Links, Key Charm, Bermuda Blue AB Swarovski Heart
Measurements: Inner Chain = Approximately 43cm (including clasp), Outer Chain = Approximately 50cm (including clasp) + 3.5cm extender chain

Sunday's coming to an end, and with it, a niggling sense of loss.
Hope your week ahead will be manageable and fun. Keep on keeping on, my friends.

SALE still ongoing, yo!

Mystique (Shades of Gray) - Customised

There's been a lot of hoo-hah about 50 Shades of Gray, what with the purported raunchy scenes, and the revelation that it was originally written as Twilight fanfiction with Edward and Bella as the main characters. Not that I've read it, and I don't intend to. :p It's just been fascinating reading the news about this much-talked-about book.

Anyway, why am I blathering on about random things when I have accessories to wax lyrical about!

The Mystique necklace, which has appeared originally here and been remade here also comes in Shades of Gray! Not fifty shades though... just three. :) This was also customised for Soo Fong, who gifted her old friends at the reunion with different variations of this necklace. I hope your reunion was lovely, Soo Fong! :)
Clear gray Czech Preciosa crystals and silver-black chinese crystal doughnuts connected by twin chains to a round double-twisted ring on the other side, with a montana AB Czech Preciosa crystal encased within.

I particularly love the AB shine on the Czech Preciosa crystal within the ring, where different facets reflect different colours.

Item Code & Name: 199 Mystique (Shades of Gray - Customised)
Price: RM20.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Clear Gray and Montana AB Czech "Preciosa" Fire-Polished Glass Beads, Silver-Black Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Round Double Twisted Ring, Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 50cm (including clasp)

Mystique 2.0 - Customised

Hello my friends. :)

Hope you're having a nice, relaxing Saturday. I woke up not too long ago, which was lovely. Ah, sleeping. My favourite hobby next to eating, singing and making accessories. Hard to make a living out of sleeping though, so here I am.

Back when I posted the Double Double, Toil and Trouble collection, the most popular item was the Mystique necklace, I guess because of the slightly unique twist where the toggle acts as part of the necklace. So when Soo Fong emailed me to say she wanted to order 6 of the Mystique necklaces for a reunion of old friends, I was quite happy to oblige. Due to the quantity, we decided to change it up a little, with 2 of the original, 2 in shades of grey, and 2 in different shades of purple, which you will see today. I've named it Mystique 2.0, coz I'm a geek, and proud to be one. :D
On one side - clear purple Czech Preciosa crystals and lavender round faceted chinese crystals. On the other, a metallic purple Czech Preciosa crystal encased within a round double-twisted ring. Both sides are connected with twin chains.

The difference between this and the original Mystique is the colour of the Czech Preciosa crystals. Here, the embossed purple crystals have been substituted with clear purple crystals, and the purple AB crystal encased within the ring has been substitued with the metallic purple crystal.

Item Code & Name: 198 Mystique 2.0 (Customised)
Price: RM20.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Clear Purple and Metallic Purple Czech "Preciosa" Fire-Polished Glass Beads, Lavender Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Round Double Twisted Ring, Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 50cm (including clasp)

I'll be back tomorrow with the other Mystique necklace, this time in (50) shades of gray. Haha. Not really.

Diamond Ring - Customised

Hi again!

It's funny that I'm posting about this particular accessory today, because the person who customised it - my colleague and friend Anujah, wore it to work this very day! :D

I love customising stuff, and I especially love customising stuff for people I know, partly because there's a much more personal touch due to our friendship, and partly because they'll probably be too nice to tell me that I suck if they're not happy with the trinkets that I make. So this is a shoutout to all mah homies who support mah hobby. I love you all! *smooches*

As you can see, I'm a little hyper. I had coffee today, you see. :D

Anyway, onto the trinket, which is the actual point of this post. If you remember the Double Double Toil and Trouble collection, where I took great glee in pairing things together and doubling all my chains, this Lockheart necklace was featured. Anujah has since time immemorial (do I get points for melodrama? :p) longed and pined for a double-chained necklace, and thus seized the opportunity to customise something similar, with different pendants. I love the result better than the original:
An elegant double-chained necklace with 2 corresponding geometric shapes as pendants - a diamond link and a round-double twisted ring link. At the time, I found it the most hilarious thing to call it Diamond Ring, since it features a diamond link and a ring. Who am I kidding, I still find it hilarious. :p Can't afford the real thing? Get yourself this necklace!

On the inner chain are tiny heart links flanked by metallic silver and burgundy round-faceted chinese crystals.

If Lockheart was demure and sweet, this necklace is elegant and regal, befitting a lady.

Item Code & Name: 196 Diamond Ring
Price: RM26.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Metallic Silver & Burgundy Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Tiny Heart Links, Diamond Link, Round Double-Twisted Ring Link
Measurements: Inner Chain = Approximately 43cm (including clasp), Outer Chain = Approximately 50cm (including clasp) + 3.5cm extender chain

Mystique | Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection: Part 6

Thought that might have caught your attention if you were scrolling past? :p I hope so anyway! Hehe.

It's true though. There's a 20% sale for every 2 items that you buy from the Double Double, Toil and Trouble collection, my tribute to all things double. And it ends on 22nd Feb, so hurry! :) Here's the last item in the collection and it's my favourite of the lot. Named Mystique, this double-chained necklace is unique in that the toggle is not at the back of your neck, but part of the necklace chain in front.
On one side - embossed purple Czech Preciosa crystals and lavender round faceted chinese crystals. On the other, a purple AB Czech Preciosa crystal encased within a round double-twisted ring. Both sides are connected with twin chains.

A closeup of the crystals - I particularly adore the embossed purple Czech crystals near the toggle clasp.

Suitable with v-necked or scoop-necked tops/dresses, this necklace is simple and elegant with a slight tinge of mystery and intrigue.

Item Code & Name: 179 Mystique
Price: RM20.00
Status: [Sold 3], Available for remakes
Materials: Embossed Purple and Purple AB Czech "Preciosa" Fire-Polished Glass Beads, Lavender Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Round Double Twisted Ring, Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 50cm (including clasp)

Ah, I'll be sad to see this collection go.

It's possibly one of my favourites. But then again, I say that about almost every collection. MY BABIES!
Anywaaaay, if you wish to purchase any of these, or capitalise on the SALE that is goin' on, please email me at

Thank you and good night!

Lockheart | Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection: Part 5

Happy Tuesday, y'all! :)
Hope the week has been good for you so far.

We've reached the necklace portion of this collection (that somewhat rhymed, hee), and I'm here to introduce my first ever double-chained necklace! I'm quite happy with this first creation - it's a sweet and simple design that fits the Dainty Little Trinkets name.

This necklace is named Lockheart because one of the pendants is a padlock with a heart cutout, and I'm also a little tickled by the name's similarity to Gilderoy Lockhart's name - you know, the ridiculous wizard and Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in the Harry Potter universe who basically flailed around causing chaos and claiming others' achievements as his own. :p
A double chained necklace with 2 corresponding pendants - a lock and a key. It's a reminder of sorts to be aware of who (or what) holds the key to your heart and to pursue the things and dreams that matter. Too much cheese? Revel in it!

On the inner chain are tiny heart links and cloudy white / rosaline round faceted crystals. If you look carefully, you'll see that the order of the crystals on each side are reversed for a little asymmetrical flair.

The two chains fall nicely across one's clavicle and sternum without overlapping, and the effect is rather pretty, if I do say so myself. :)

Item Code & Name: 178 Lockheart
Price: RM24.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Cloudy White & Rosaline Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Tiny Heart Links, Key Charm, Lock Charm
Measurements: Inner Chain = Approximately 43cm (including clasp), Outer Chain = Approximately 50cm (including clasp) + 3.5cm extender chain

Need I remind you that a sale is going on?

Daenerys & Drogo | Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection: Part 4

Hello all.
Short post ahoy!
It's because the weekend is nearly over and I am in a period of mourning.
Oh, the weekly struggle of returning to work! /melodrama

Post no. 4 in the Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection features another pair of asymmetrical earrings, this time in tribute to 2 Game of Thrones characters - Daenerys & Drogo. This is more for Daenerys really, since she developed from a pawn in a game of thrones to a brave, fierce Khaleesi with the allegiance of legions of the Unsullied army and the protection of dragons. Coolness.

These earrings are in reference to what happened in the first season, for reasons that will become apparent soon.

Daenerys referred to Drogo as her sun and stars, whereas Drogo referred to Daenerys as the moon of his life. The moon and the stars shining in the night sky - what would they be without each other? They're inseparable.
Jet black helix crystals and midnight blue pearls to signify the night sky, capped off with moon and star charms

Item Code & Name: 177 Daenerys & Drogo
Price: RM8.00 SALE: RM6 only (25% off, while item remains Available)
Status: Available
Materials: Jet Black Helix Crystals, Midnight Blue Faux Pearls, Moon Charm, Star Charm

Want to give this to someone as a romantic gesture?
Want to purchase it for yourself coz you just like the colours and the asymmetry?

Remember, the 20% sale is going on till 22nd Feb, so don't miss out!

G'night.
Don't let the bed bugs bite.

Come Rain or Come Shine | Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection: Part 3

Saturday!

It's been really hot these few days, blazing sun and very little rain. Ah, tropical countries. The weather all over the world has been wonky too, what with the crazy high temperatures in Australia, the blistering freezing cold in some states in the U.S., etc. Better take care of our environment, or the end of the world will be upon us.

Now that's my lovely Saturday greeting to all of you. Hello to you too. :p

The point is, all of us hope to have people in our lives who will be there regardless of circumstance, come rain or come shine. With that, I'll introduce the 3rd post in the Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection - a pair of asymmetrical earrings that complement each other and fit this theme:

On the left - cloudy white and cloudy turquoise crystals to signify a cloudy rainy day, and an umbrella to cover you.
On the right - clear and aquamarine crystals to signify a lovely sunny day, and a hat to protect you.
This is for the people in your life who aren't just fairweather friends - who are with you Come Rain or Come Shine. It can even be a reminder to yourself - to be prepared to face the day, whatever it may bring.

Item Code & Name: 176 Come Rain or Come Shine
Price: RM8.00 SALE: RM6 only (25% off, while item remains Available)
Status: Available
Materials: Frosty White, Cloudy Turquoise, Aquamarine and Clear Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Umbrella Charm, Sun Hat Charm

Interested?

If you like asymmetrical earrings, check out more here. :)
I made a bracelet a while ago that kinda complements this pair of earrings - English Rain.

Lovely day to you all.
Signing off now :)

Vintage Romance | Double Double Toil and Trouble Collection: Part 2

Hola!

Hope your days back at work/school have been good so far. It'll be Friday soon, so that's always something to look forward to! :D I have been obsessed with this app called Quiz Up - it's a trivia game and it's consuming my life. Go check it out if you are looking for a weapon of mass distraction. If my blog gets less frequently updated, you'll know what to blame it on. :D

Onto the second post in the Double Double Toil and Trouble Collection, here's the second double-chained bracelet in this shiny new collection of trinkets - Vintage Romance.
My very favourite vintage pink dahlia cabochon on an antique silver-plated flower filigree, hanging daintily from a double-chained bracelet featuring an arrow link and peach / clear chinese crystal doughnuts.

Against a silver background for a clearer view - there's something vintage and romantic about this piece.
Item Code & Name: 175 Vintage Romance
Price: RM20.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Clear and Peach Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Vintage Pink Dahlia Cabochon, Arrow Heart Link, Heart Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 16.5cm (including clasp) + 2.5cm extender chain <-- this is the measurement for the inner chain - the outer (bottom) chain measures at 17cm so it hangs slightly lower on the wrist from the inner (top) chain.

20% off each pair of items that you purchase from this collection!

Here's wishing you all the sweet, old-fashioned romance in the world!
Valentine's day is approaching, after all.

Violet Skies | Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection: Part 1

Hello folks.

It's back to work / school for a lot of us today, though I can't say I was super productive at work today. It's hard to recover from holidays. Wishing and pining for another holiday already! Ah, such is life.

Anyway, here's the first in the Double Double, Toil and Trouble Collection! It's a bracelet, much in the vein of the previously posted double-chained bracelets. Call me unoriginal, but I love this dainty swallow link so much, that I just have to replicate this bracelet design it in different colour themes -
Named Violet Skies for the crystals that are bluish purple in colour, and for the little swallow that seems to be flying across a gorgeous violet sky.
Light sapphire chinese crystal doughnuts and violet round-faceted chinese crystals. The violet crystals are fascinating as they appear blue under certain lighting but are a lovely soft violet colour under sunlight.
Wear this as a reminder to dream big, fly high, and be an inspiration to those around you. :)

Item Code & Name: 174 Violet Skies
Price: RM18.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Light Sapphire Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Violet Round Faceted Chinese Crystals, Swallow Link, Inspire Charm, Heart Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 17cm (including clasp) + 2.5cm extender chain <-- this is the measurement for the inner chain - the outer (bottom) chain measures at 17.5cm so it hangs slightly lower on the wrist from the inner (top) chain.

Friendly reminder that a SALE is goin' on!
Purchase 2 items in this collection and receive 20% off both items!

Double Double, Toil and Trouble - Collection Masterpost

On this day the 2nd of February, I am here to introduce yet another collection!

One that I am quite excited about, because, let's face it, when am I not excited about new collections? Never!

This collection is a little unique in that all items have a sort of dual theme about them. Inspiration for this collection came a few months ago, when I made my first double-chained bracelet - Songs of Joy. I then made a couple more, as you can see here, and have been itching to make more of the like ever since. But that's not all - it's not just double-chained bracelets that this collection will feature. It's double-chained necklaces too! Earrings already come in a pair, so that's sorted. I've made asymmetrical earrings of pairs that fit together, like bacon and eggs, milk and cookies, burger and fries, macaroni and cheese - that kinda thing. Those are not actual earrings that I made. And yes, I realise that I cited only food examples. :p

(Also, I seem to be sounding a little hyper today. Must be the excessive amounts of Lindt chocolate I consumed (so creamy, so rich, so gooood)). Moving on now - here's a nifty little graphic (stole off the internet) featuring a DNA double-helix -

From Tuesday this coming week, I will be posting 2 bracelets, 2 earrings and 2 necklaces for this collection, as follows:

Part 1: Violet Skies
Part 5: Lockheart
Part 6: Mystique

P/S - I purposefully waited till today (2nd Feb) to post this collection, because I am geeky that way.

PP/S - Double whammy -- SALE ALERT! For every TWO items you purchase from this collection, you will be entitled to 20% off BOTH items! The sales period is valid till 22nd Feb (heehee). Terms and conditions:
1. Valid for items purchased from this collection only
2. Valid for items that are available / available for remakes (i.e if I run out of materials for a particular item, I will obviously not be able to sell you that particular item)
3. If you purchase more than 2 items - for example, if you purchase 3 items, the 3rd item will not be entitled to any discount.

I think that pretty much covers it.
Excited? I know I am!

If you're wondering where the title of the collection comes from, it is from a song called Something Wicked This Way Comes, which was performed by a frog choir in Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban. Snippet below! :D

See you on Tuesday my dear readers, and have a lovely week ahead.
