Chinese Knots

After yesterday's brightly-coloured flowery affair (click here!), I now move to the opposite end of the spectrum and feature a pair of earrings with no frills or fancies - just understated class. (Or so I think lah, haha).

We all need variety in our wardrobes after all, and should have accessories that are suitable for fun and cheery occasions, and those that are suitable for elegant nights out. This pair of earrings fall into the latter category (I think), which I shall elaborate on in further verbose detail, as you know that I am partial to. But first, pictures!

Named Chinese Knots because of their resemblance to the brightly-coloured (most often red) traditional woven cords that are often used as decorative items in chinese culture, the silver chains that dangle from the chinese knot link resemble the colourful tassels that often accompany these knots.
So yeah, if you want something traditional and classy to accompany your outfit (or even a Cheong Sam!), but you'd like something monochrome and silver... here's the pair of earrings for you. :)

Item Code & Name: 302 Chinese Knots
Price: RM8.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Chinese Knot Links, Chain

Magenta Blossoms

Can I have a show of hands for those of you who remember the Jars of Clay collection?

Heh!

The Jars of Clay collection featured dainty little trinkets made with clay beads or polymer clay charms, and I'm happy to introduce another one of my more recent shopping finds - a ceramic bead delicately hand-painted with beautifully magenta-coloured blossoms. I fell in love with these beads the moment I laid eyes on them, and of course had to purchase them.

Don't tell anyone, but they're so pretty, sometimes I take them out of their little box in my storage units just to admire them a little. I can't help it. I like pretty things. (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡

Here's a pair of earrings I made with these lovely ceramic beads - Magenta Blossoms:

White ceramic beads with magenta blossoms, with twin dangling chains of lilac and magenta faux pearls.
Item Code & Name: 301 Magenta Blossoms
Price: RM13.00
Status: Available
Materials: Lilac & Magenta Faux Pearls, Magenta Flower Ceramic Beads

If you'd like to order / enquire further, just email me at

Customisation is always possible, if you like this bead and want to do something different with it. Check out some previously customised creations here!

Celtic Frost | Ombré Collection: Part 5

As the saying goes,
all good things must come to an end.

We have reached the last post of the Ombré Collection, which features a pair of earrings that I rather fond of, and would rather like to keep for myself (but am choosing to sell because I have far too many earrings and only one pair of ears and only 365 days in a year to wear them all).

Celtic-themed beads and links are no stranger to this little site of mine. We've seen creations featuring celtic hearts (here, here and here!) and celtic flowers (here and here) and now it's time to introduce a new type of bead - a diagonal square bead with celtic patterns that resemble flowers:

Dainty celtic-patterned diagonal square beads amidst chinese crystal doughnuts in lovely frosted / opaque tones - frosted blue (making their first appearance in a Dainty Little Trinket), air blue opal and aqua blue opal.
Item Code & Name: 300 Celtic Hearts
Price: RM8.00
Status: Available
Materials: Frosted Blue / Air Blue Opal / Aqua Blue Opal Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Celtic Diagonal Square Beads

If you fancy adding a pair of cool and frosted earrings to your collection, just drop me an email at

And that, my friends, is the end of this collection.

I'm excited about the stuff that's coming up - stay tuned for more as we fast approach the end of the year!

I'll leave you with a song that has been tugging at my heartstrings and playing in an endless melancholy litany in my head - High Hopes by Kodaline.

But I've got high hopes, it takes me back to when we started
High hopes, when you let it go, go out and start again
High hopes, when it all comes to an end
But the world keeps spinning around

Fuchsia Fusion | Ombré Collection: Part 4

Hello, my friends.

I hope the weekend has been treating you well!

We are nearing the end of the Ombré Collection. Hope you've been enjoying yourselves so far. Part 4 of this collection of pretty colour gradients is a bracelet - it's been far too long since this blog featured a bracelet. I've named this trinket Fuchsia Fusion because fuchsia is a vivid purple-red colour, named after a pretty genus of flowering plants, and because the word "fusion" implies that the colours are fusing with each other, which fits this collection's theme nicely.

 Picture time!
A bracelet with a fusion of vivid, rich colours, with the particularly-striking ruby red faux pearls flanking the antique silver-plated daisy charm at the focal point.

Am loving this particular gradient of ruby red --> magenta --> burgundy --> plum --> dusty purple

Item Code & Name: 299 Fuchsia Fusion
Price: RM15.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials:  Ruby Red / Magenta / Burgundy / Plum / Dusty Purple Faux Pearls, Daisy Charms
Measurements: Approximately 17.5cm (including clasp) + 2.5cm extender chain

If you'd like to order, just drop me an email at

Fun fact: did you know that you can browse this site according to colour? To your right, there are many useful labels, among which is a "shop by colour" function. So if you're looking for something specific, just browse those labels and click away!

If you like the colours in this bracelet, check out the
burgundy, purple and red labels. :)

Indigo Hearts | Ombré Collection: Part 3

Merah, Jingga, Kuning, Hijau, Biru, Indigo, Ungu.

As kids growing up in Malaysian government schools, this is how we learned the colours of the rainbow. Our teachers even taught us to memorise the order of the colours using the phrase "Michael Jackson Killed His Brother In USA". Heh. Notice in the list of colours translated into Malay, that Indigo is the only one that wasn't translated? Guess it's not common enough a colour to warrant creating a new word. :p

Indigo is generally regarded as the colour between blue and violet, and is thus an apt name for the following pair of earrings in a gradient of purple to blue. :)
Dainty celtic heart beads amidst round-faceted chinese crystals of lavender, violet and sapphire blue. The violet crystals (below the hearts) are particularly interesting, as they look blue and purple under different lighting.
Item Code & Name: 298 Indigo Hearts
Price: RM9.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Lavender, Violet & Sapphire Blue Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Celtic Heart Beads

Olive Grove | Ombré Collection: Part 2

It's Deepavali tomorrow! Yay public holiday, and wishing all who celebrate a wonderful and warm Festival of Lights celebration. :)

Now, onto the 2nd part of the Ombré collection!

When I was young(er), I went on a road trip with my friends to the United States, and spent 2 weeks travelling around the California / Arizona region. In Los Angeles, we ate at this restaurant called Olive Garden, which has a garlic shrimp linguine that I crave to this day. We also went to this mall called The Grove, where we saw Sandra Oh (of Grey's Anatomy fame!). What is the point of me telling you all this? There is none, except for the fact that I am a sentimental fool and I like rambling, and today's trinket's name happens to be a combination of those two experiences - Olive Grove
A bookmark with crystals in a gradient of green shades, and a tree charm. Let's pretend this is an olive tree, and imagine that this symbolises a grove of olive trees.
.

Item Code & Name: 297 Olive Grove
Price: RM13.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Light Green, Forest Green and Olive Green Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Tree Charm

This new bookmark is daintier than the previously featured bookmarks, and also more affordable than the previous engraved ones. So if you're a fan of simpler / smaller designs - here's something you can order! :)

Cyan Blooms | Ombré Collection: Part 1

Fun fact:
Cyan is one of the colours in the colour model for many printers/photocopiers (CMYK: cyan, magenta, yellow, key (black)). Why do you need this information in your head? Knowledge is power, yo. Or something. :p

Part 1 of the Ombré Collection kicks off with a blue --> green gradient. This gradient is not as... gradual as some of the others in the collection, but I still think it's a pretty gradient anyway. (I claim artistic license! I can call it ombré if I want to! :p) It also has the added bonus of being asymmetrical.

A pair of bright and cheery earrings, where turquoise gradates into lime green and vice versa, through the cyan/teal tones of the little roses on silver flower filigrees.
Item Code & Name: 296 Cyan Blooms
Price: RM9.00
Status: Available
Materials: Shiny Turquoise / Lime Green Faux Pearls, Cyan/Teal Rose Cabochons, Flower Filigrees

Someone quickly purchase this before I decide to keep it for myself! :p

Should you wanna make this your own, just email me at

If you like flowers, check out more dainty trinkets with flowers here!
If you like asymmetry, check out some asymmetrical trinkets here!

That's it for tonight - here's wishing you a wonderful week ahead. I am looking forward to Wednesday - Deepavali!

Ombré - Collection Masterpost

Derived from the French word ombrer and the Latin word umbra is the word ombré, which has been all the rage with the hairstyling community lately, and looks like a trend that is here to stay.

Ah, colour gradients. Who doesn't love it when various shades of the same colour blend so prettily with each other, or when one colour gradates so seamlessly into the next. Loving ombré designs like I do, I of course had to make an entire collection dedicated to pretty colour gradients. :)

Inspiration for this collection comes from the Ombré earrings from the La Perla collection - my first attempt at making accessories with colour gradients. Here, have a pretty graphic:

And this "celebration" of colour gradients shall begin tomorrow, my friends, so stay tuned!

Part 1: Cyan Blooms
Part 2: Olive Grove
Part 3: Indigo Hearts
Part 5: Celtic Frost

See you Sunday!

Dark Vines

Hello ladies
(and occasional passerby-gentlemen)

The time now is 11.30pm so I shall keep this post short and sweet. :)

A lot of the trinkets on this humble little blogshop are made with faux pearls and chinese crystals, but it's nice to throw in the occasional natural stone / organic bead. :D Chrysocolla is a copper stone that ranges in colour from blues to greens. The chrysocolla beads that I have are dark green, with flecks of black and the occasional blue. They have featured in some of my accessories before - Tree of Gondor and Little Birds.

Naturally, I had to make something for myself featuring these naturally-occurring mineral stones.

Dark Vines - dark green chrysocolla beads, jet black helix crystals, and silver beads with tree branch engravings.
Item Code & Name: 295 Dark Vines
Price: RM11.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Dark Green Chrysocolla Beads, Black Helix Crystals, Silver Beads with Tree Branch Engravings

All orders or enquiries can be made at daintylittletrinkets@gmail.com :)

With that, I shall bid you adieu.

Fair Winds and Following Seas

One of the much-featured friends on this little blog of mine is Ai Li, my ex-colleague, fellow accessories enthusiast and sailor extraordinaire. She recently went from being a colleague to an ex-colleague, searching for greener pastures, or, perhaps more fittingly for a sailor - going on a voyage for new discoveries, new adventure, new land.

So I made her a little farewell present, a keychain as encouragement as she embarks on this journey into unknown seas.
Ocean tones - chinese crystal doughnuts in shades of air blue and aqua blue opal, the alphabet A, a sailboat and an encouragement to never give up.
Item Code & Name: 294 Fair Winds and Following Seas
Price: RM12.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Air Blue Opal & Aqua Blue Opal Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Sailboat Charm, Alphabet Charm, "Never Never Give Up" Charm

There is a phrase in sailing / marine-speak called "Fair Winds and Following Seas" - so that the winds are fair and comfortable as you sail, and the sea rolls in the same direction as the direction the sailor is headed. So that is my wish to you, my friend - wishing you a smooth sailing journey as you forge ahead and brave whatever comes your way!

If you're a fan of ocean / nautical-themed stuff, do check out the Dreaming of the Sea Collection and also another Nautical bracelet I made for Ai Li here

Also, check out other keychains here!

Whatever new journey you may be embarking on, dear readers, I wish you fair winds and following seas~~~~~

Sunday Stylefile #6

Hope everyone has had a peaceful and restful Sunday. :)

Didn't post a Sunday Stylefile last month, since I was hiatus, so this post is long overdue. I, of course, had a good time looking through a bunch of my favourite clothing sites and picking out some stuff that I covet. :D

The Sunday Stylefile is an avenue for me to match one of my accessories to some pretty clothing I've found on the internet. You can check out some previous stylefiles here! This month, the accessory in question is Purple Storm.
In stormy shades of black, dark purple and white, this bracelet features Lun Bawang beads painted with purple or black swirls, chinese crystal doughnuts and lattice links. I have tried to match this bracelet with 3 pieces of clothing in shades of white, black (and sometimes purple), as you can see below:

On ze left, with black swirls that match the Lun Bawang beads perfectly, the chic white Iron Gate Dress from I Can't Sew.
In ze middle, look sweet and feminine in this purple floral-printed Black Trimmed Floral Dress from Dressabelle.
On ze right, rock the cutesy/playful look with this gorgeous ash grey and white Geisha Floral Romper from Phat Culture.

*Disclaimer* I own not the images above, they are from the sites that I have credited.
Click on the links to go buy them pretty clothes. :)
If I wore rompers / playsuits, I would totally buy the piece of clothing on the right.

As with all previous Sunday Stylefile posts - remember that the Purple Storm bracelet (originally RM19) will be 10% off from now till the next Sunday Stylefile post in November - that's RM17! :) Check out more pictures of the bracelet here.

Have a good week ahead, my friends!

Jardin Secret - Customised

Those who grew up learning the piano in Malaysia in the 90's will be familiar with our friend Richard Clayderman - famous for playing beautiful pieces like Ballade pour Adeline, Marriage d'Amour, and the like. One of my favourites is Jardin Secret - a beautiful, mysterious piece befitting its name. Jardin is French for garden - a secret garden.

This piece, customised by Jo Jo for a friend, has elements of a secret garden set in France - in red, black and white.
Opaque red and glittering black chinese crystal doughnuts, accompanied by white Lun Bawang clay beads with black swirls, a butterfly charm, an asymmetrical leaf charm, an Eiffel tower charm, and an initial of her friend.
The pretty Lun Bawang clay beads have been featured in the Jars of Clay collection - check out more clay creations here.
Item Code & Name: 291 Jardin Secret (Customised)
Price: RM24.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for different remakes (I've run out of the black swirl Lun Bawang beads, so this can be remade with those beads replaced)
Materials:  Black Swirl Lun Bawang Beads, Opaque Red and Jet Black Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Butterfly Charm, Eiffel Tower Charm, Asymmetrical Leaf Charm, Alphabet Charm
Measurements: Approximately 17cm (including clasp) + 2.5cm extender chain

Eternal Flame - Customised

Close your eyes
Give me your hand darling
Do you feel my heart beating
Do you understand
Do you feel the same
Am I only dreaming

Or is this burning an eternal flame?

Ah, one of the most jiwang songs of all time. :D I love the 80's.

So, a little while ago, I featured this Eternal Flame necklace with an infinity symbol and a flaming red Swarovski Heart that could be adjusted at different lengths - a design both simple yet unique. My long-time customer and fellow trinket enthusiast Kelsey loved it too, and asked to customise two versions of this necklace, with different Swarovski hearts, as you can see below:

Stunning Swarovski hearts in Silver Night and Bermuda Blue AB shades, looped through the timeless infinity link.

As mentioned, the necklace can be adjusted to different lengths to suit your preference. Wear it at an average length (as above) or wear it dramatically (as below), with the heart plunging down together with your plunging neckline. :p

Item Code & Name: 290 Eternal Flame
Price: RM19.00
Status: [Sold - 2 Bermuda Blue, 1 Silver Night], Available for remakes
Materials: Infinity Link, Swarovski Heart
Measurements: Approximately 43cm (including clasp), drop = 4.5cm (length adjustable to whatever you want it to be!)

Email me at daintylittletrinkets@gmail.com if you would like to order!
(when ordering, please specify which Swarovski Heart you would like!)
Check out other previous asymmetrical creations here!

That's all for now, folks.

*Goes off and belts out Eternal Flame in the shower. Loudly. Complete with melodramatic hand gestures*

Hello everyone!
Hope you're still enjoying the long weekend (or if you live in a part of the world where there's no public holiday today, then sorry! My utmost condolences. Ngehehehehehehemoohahahahahaha)

So, the last post was a bookmark for my bookish friend Ivy, and this, the 3rd post in a row about bookmarks, was also customised by her, for her all-important book-marking purposes. This one features my most favouritest polymer clay charm ever, the little 3D mushroom charm that reminds me of Super Mario and a bygone era of video games.
A celtic heart bead, silver-black chinese crystal doughnuts, a clover link and the cutest mushroom charm ever.
This might be my favourite bookmark to date.

Item Code & Name: 289 Toadstool
Price: RM20.00
Status: [Sold], Available for different remake (I've run out of this particular bookmark, but there are others for you to select from. Just email me to check! :))

Les Bleus - Customised

Saturday, oh my long-awaited Saturday.
This is the first truly-free weekend I've had in weeks and it is a long weekend! What could be better? :D
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend too.

So, my friend Ivy is an all-important Masters student who has to study all sorts of important stuff. And what do all-important studious Masters students need? Bookmarks, of course!

Ivy recently customised a bunch of bookmarks from me. Here's one of them:
Sweet and demure shades of blue - a pale blue faux pearl, a clover link, a blue-purple round-faceted chinese crystal and a sky blue macaron - all attached to a bookmark with flower engravings. Named Les Bleus because macarons are French and that's French for blue (and I am unoriginal and predictable in my name-naming).
Item Code & Name: 288 Les Bleus
Price: RM20.00
Status: [Sold], Available for different remake (I've run out of this particular bookmark, but there are others for you to select from. Just email me to check! :))
Materials: Pale Blue Faux Pearl, Violet Round-Faceted Chinese Crystal, Clover Link, Macaron Charm

If you like the macaron charm, check out Le Petit Macaron - a dainty and sweet macaron necklace made to order in various pastel colours!

Here's how you order: *click*

p/s: Speaking of Les Bleus - the French world cup football team has a number of realllllly cute soccer players. Check out Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud. So pretty! And skilled! ♥_

Bye now and have a good weekend, my friends.
