--- So boybands through the ages have crooned (though Bee Gees will probably object to being called a boyband, haha).
Hello people! This is the first of the spotlight posts while I am off frolicking in Japan. As you are reading this, I am probably somewhere in Nara, walking around some temple in the cold winter weather, feeding deer (or being chased by deer). Oh deer. Ahahaha I amuse myself so.
ANYWAY. I've already uttered waaay too many WORDS without getting to the point of this post.
This post is intended to shine a spotlight on accessories featuring little messages - words of joy, words of hope, words of love, as we need all the reminders we can get as we go through the routine that is life.
(Click on the names of each accessory for more descriptions and pictures)
This shall be the shortest of all short posts as I am flying off to Japan (wheeeeeee!) tonight and time is of the essence!
Here's a pair of earrings I made for myself, with celtic knot links that I really reaaaaally love. Brings to mind an ancient, forgone time - hence the name Baroque. My friend Jah says Alhambra comes to her mind when she sees it, but Baroque sounds cooler, so Baroque it is. So much for keeping this post concise. On with the pictures!
Antique brass celtic knot links with beautiful swirl-patterns, followed by clear chinese crystal bicones. Suitable for days where you just want to wear something versatile and classy with your #ootd . Did I just hashtag something? Yes I did.
Item Code & Name: 353 Baroque
Price: RM10.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Celtic Knot Links, Chinese Crystal Bicones
That's all for now, folks.
If you see something you like, please feel free to email me at
I'm on vacation from 30 Jan - 8 Feb with limited Wifi access, so replies may be delayed, k?
Lots of love,
see you when I get back,
and in the meantime I've prepared some scheduled posts so you can get your regular dose of inane rambling (assuming anyone actually comes here regularly)!
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer;
sticking little white flowers all up in her hair;
"Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it's my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried."
Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right
To deserve a hug every morning And butterfly kisses at night.
Today's post doesn't actually have that much to do with the song, except that they share the same name. :p My friend and colleague Kim asked me to customise a purple butterfly-themed set for our fellow friend and colleague Brenda, so I came up with this bracelet-necklace-earring set, in sweet shades of purple.
Butterfly kisses - a set in various shades of purple, with butterfly charms and heart links.
Price: RM48.00 (bracelet + earrings + necklace) - items can be sold separately, please look below.
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Please see below.
Soft lilac mixed with bright purple faux pearls, deep purple chinese crystal doughnuts, heart links and a butterfly charm dangling from a flower link as the centre piece.
Materials: Lilac Faux Pearls, Deep Purple Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Butterfly Charms
The highlight of the Butterfly Kisses set - the same pearls and crystal doughnuts and the same heart links, with a pendant featuring the butterfly charm and a gorgeous, glittering Tanzanite AB Swarovski Heart.
Materials: Lilac and Bright Purple Faux Pearls, Deep Purple Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Heart Links, Butterfly Charm, Tanzanite AB Swarovski Heart

This is the first time the heart links and Tanzanite AB Swarovski Heart have been featured in any Dainty Little Trinket! I adoreee this particular Swarovski Heart. It is giving the Bermuda Blue AB Swarovski Heart a serious run for its money!

It's been a while since I featured a matching set of accessories. If you like matching sets, check out more here!
Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and with that, I bring you several oriental picks for this month's Sunday Stylefile! What better way to celebrate and welcome the new year by paying homage to one of the most legendary figures in Chinese folklore - Hua Mulan, yeah? :)
First up, here is the bracelet inspired by Mulan -
A rich red chinese crystal doughnut encased within a round
double-twisted ring, a red rose on a flower filigree, a Courage bead,
followed by wine red and cherry red Czech Preciosa crystals.
Here are the rich red oriental-dresses that match the bracelet, all in striking shades of red -
*Disclaimer* I own not the images above, they are from the sites that I have credited.
Click on the links to go buy them pretty dresses. :)
The Mulan bracelet can be purchased at 10% off from now till
the next Sunday Stylefile post. Originally RM20, it''ll now cost RM18.
Check out more pictures of the bracelet here!
Has anyone heard the recent adorable story where Tom Felton (of sneaky Slytherin Draco Malfoy fame) recently joined Pottermore? If you don't know what this is, then this post may not make much sense to you. Consider yourself warned. :p
For the uninitiated, Pottermore is an awesome Harry Potter interactive site which contains chapter-by-chapter illustrations and lovely little 'extra' stories from the Harry Potter Universe, written by Queen Rowling herself. One of the first few interactive things you do is get yourself sorted into one of the Hogwarts Houses by answering some questionnaire (a very very basic and probably not scientifically-sound (but who cares) personality test). Tom Felton got sorted into Gryffindor, which is all kinds of hilarious, given that his character loathes Gryffindor with the fire of a thousand suns.
So anyway, I have of course been a member of this site since it first came out, and was quite predictably sorted into Ravenclaw. Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure, yo! Also, I am a total geek. Like that wasn't obvious from the constant geeky tangents that I go off on. :D
Here's a bookmark that I made for myself in representation of my Ravenclaw self... and a charm that I am super excited about!
An antique brass bookmark with a cobalt blue (Ravenclaw colours yo!) Czech Preciosa bead and the cutest little witch on a broomstick. Reminds me of Hermione, except that she doesn't like flying. I fell in love with this charm at first sight, and of course had to buy it.
Fancy yourself a Gryffindor / Hufflepuff / Slytherin bookmark? I can totally make them in your House colours too!

Have I told you that I'll be visiting Harry Potter World soon? That's part of the reason why I'm going to Japan in a week's time. Ahhhhhhh cannot hardly wait. :D

Here's a variation of it., customised for Kelsey. :)

Short post coz I'm on half day leave for dental treatment and I need to get going soon. Root canal. :(
Some time back, I posted the My Fair Lady bracelet, consisting of a white dahlia cabochon and an array of white beads. This was later customised into a necklace for Felicia, as you can see here. Kelsey wanted something similar, but in a different colour scheme - more like the dark blue and silver shades found in this Sleek in Silver bracelet.
Voila!
The fair lady has now morphed into the Lady of the Night -
A royal blur dahlia on a square filigree, with an array of silver, dark silver and midnight blue faux pearls.
This colour combination is one of my absolute favourites. It's sleek and chic with a dash of colour.

I have a new flower cabochon to share - it's a water lily, in a sweet, striking vintage pink shade, incorporated into a bookmark for my friend Esther. Believe it or not, we've reached the last of the Christmas presents I've made. This one, I particularly like. It also features a new bookmark, with pretty flower motifs.

In 2 week's time, I'll be travelling to Japan! Yay!
Just an advanced vacation notice to my customers that I will be incommunicado from 29 Jan - 7 Feb. :)
For now, I'm still on a roll featuring some Christmas pressies that I gave to me friends.
Here's a pair of earrings I made for Sharon, featuring a new link - the diagonal heart link!
Antique silver-plated diagonal hearts linked with thin silver chains - at first I wanted to call this piece Chained Hearts, but that felt a little too morbid. So Linked Hearts it is.

If you like this pair of earrings, or chandelier-style earrings, check out some similar ones here and here. :)

(There's been a pattern of short posts lately, huh? I promise I'll return to my long, verbose self sometime soon. Not that you want that. Haha!)
Here are more Christmas pressies for my friends. This time, for two old friends who are in happy relationships that everyone should aspire to. :D So I made them keychains with the happy couples' initials on them. :)
For Jane and Sam, and Brenda and Will. :)
These antique silver-plated keychains have the couples' initials on them, with little celtic heart and celtic square beads as representations of the individuals, and a reminder to always live, laugh, and love.
I have been looking forward to this weekend since Monday. It's been a crazy week, and next week promises to be crazier, but for now it's all fun and games. :D
But still, I'm a busy bee - got things to do, places to be, and all that. LOL. (More like I have TV shows to watch, and a bed to vegetate on). But really, it's a busy weekend. What with accessory-making and some pending orders and all. :p
So this shall be brief - as brief as I can be!
You would've guessed from the title that this post features snowflakes! ~*❄~❄*~ (No, I'm not over Christmas yet). Also, I'm a little boring and predictable, as last year I had already posted a bunch of snowflake earrings I made as Christmas presents (click here!). Here are some more. :p

If you like bookmarks, remember that you can either order one of these or customise something for yourself!
it's late and I'm tired from a super long and draining day at work (this is going to be a theme for the next few weeks), so this shall be a short post. Well, short for me anyway. :op
This year, I decided to make my colleagues matching bookmarks for Christmas!

Anyway, this is the part where I start featuring all the Christmas gifts that I gave to my friends during Christmas!
First is something I made for Wei Lyn, which is probably my favourite Christmas gift that I've given, largely because I adore the magenta-flower ceramic beads that this pair of earrings feature:
Ceramic beads delicately hand-painted with magenta-coloured blossoms, paired with wine-coloured chinese crystal teardrops.
