For Linda

Today is my friend Linda's birthday, so naturally, this post is dedicated to her, featuring a bracelet I made for her. :) Since she's off vacationing in East Malaysia, I've already given her her present, and thus can post this bright and early!

(At 8am, no less! This is a first.)

Lin's favourite colour is lime green, so I was super excited that I had a lime-green dahlia cabochon that I could include in a bracelet design.
A trio of dahlia cabochons on dainty silver filigrees = lime green, turqouise and forest green, flanked by alternating aquamarine and sea-green crystals.
I love the vibrance of this piece. Since I tend to be all about the dark sombre shades or sweet pastels, bright, rich-toned accessories are quite fun to make. Also, they're definitely eye-catching when adorning one's wrists.
Status: Not Available
Materials: Dahlia Cabochons, Aquamarine and Sea Green Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Made With Love Charm

Check out other accessories with dahlia cabochons in the Daisies and Dahlias Collection!

Happy birthday Lin, may the year ahead bring you lots of exciting adventures and overflowing joy and contentment your lovely little family. :)

Nightingale - Customised

Happy weekend, y'all!

Today I went bead shopping, so I'm super happy! Also feeling a little guilty about the money I spent, haha. Buyer's remorse? Not quite, since I DON'T REGRET buying ALL THE PRETTY THINGS! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ Guess I'll just have to scirmp and save on other things. Like clothes, my other guilty pleasure. Heh.

I keep forgetting that this blog is not my personal blog to rant and rave about my life. Sorry for subjecting you to all my inane and incessant ramblings. ;p Moving on now...

Today's post showcases another item that Fharylynna custom-ordered. She wanted a simple long necklace that could be worn with plain tops and mentioned that she really liked the Nightingale pendant from the Fly Me To The Moon Collection and also the crystal teardrops that have made an appearance in the Minty Meadows necklace. So what follows is a combination of the two:
The exquisite nightingale pendant, paired with twin dangling chains of emerald crystal teardrops.
How I adore the emerald crystal teardrops. Hmm I just realised that these are basically Slytherin colours - silver and green. Any Slytherins out there who'd like to own this necklace too? :D

So when I said long necklace, I meant really long. You wear it like an Olympian wears a medal. ;)

Item Code & Name: 091 Nightingale (Customised)
Price: RM28.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Emerald Chinese Crystal Teardrops, Antique Silver-Plated Nightingale Pendant
Measurements: Approximately 90cm (including clasp) + 4.5cm extender chain; Drop = 7cm

The length, of course, is adjustable to whatever you want it to be.
Email me here if you'd like to enquire about remakes!

Bye now, I'm off to stare at my pretty beads like a magpie stares at their collection of shiny things.

I Hope You Dance - Customised

A shoutout to those who are having a really long week -- it's almost the weekend, hang in there!

-Awkward segue into actual content of post-

The Personalised Statement Bracelets collection has been one of the most popular collections -- I guess because of the different statements that appeal to different individuals and the highly customisable nature of these bracelets. :)

I received a facebook message (shamless self promotion: please like the page here!) from Fharylynna some time ago. She wanted to customise a bracelet with a cross and a ballerina (from this I am making the assumption that she is a Christian and a ballet dancer, hehe). After browsing through some designs and selecting a few additional beads and links - here is her bracelet, customised in the vein of the previously-posted I Hope You Dance bracelet, in a completely different colour scheme:
Formerly in the tones of sweet rosaline and clear crystal, this bracelet has been customised to include a medley of midnight blue and dark silver pearls and jet black chinese crystal doughnuts. Completing the bracelet are a butterfly link, a courage bead, a ballerina charm, and a cross hanging from a clover link -- perhaps traits that define the owner of this bracelet.
An alternate view. I think this colour combination might be my favourite - can't go wrong with shades of midnight blue and dark silver and jet black. So very classy and elegant - you know, gaya, mutu, keunggulan. ;p
Item Code & Name: 090 I Hope You Dance - Customised
Price: RM16.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes (of course you're encouraged to choose your own variation of charms, to make it unique to you!)
Materials: Midnight Blue and Dark Silver Faux Pearls, Jet Black Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Butterfly Link, Courage Bead, Clover Link, Ballerina Charm, Cross Charm
Measurements: Approximately 17cm (including clasp) + 2.5cm extender chain
You know the drill -- please email me at
for enquiries or orders or if you feel like rambling nonsense back at me like I ramble at you. :)

Lush Lavender - Customised

Hello all, hope your week has been good so far. :)

Now that the Daisies and Dahlias collection is over, it's time for some customised pieces! I do so love posting about pieces that I've customised for people. It's nice when people incorporate their thoughts and ideas into my creations and something unique is born from the process.

What follows is a matching necklace and earring set, which includes both the little flower cabochons from the Dainty Little Flowers Collection as well as the little dahlia cabochons from the Daisies and Dahlias Collection. It's the best of both worlds, a garden of flowers and delight! ◕‿◕✿ Or something. Hehe.

So my friend Ju Li (hello, if you're reading this!) really loved this Lush Lavender bracelet when I posted it sometime back, and so requested that I make it into a necklace with matching earrings. This is the result:
Pretty dainty butterfly links, a myriad of light and bright purple crystals and pearls with the requisite flower cabochons. Makes me think of secret gardens that only bloom in the night... or a midsummer night's dream.

Status: Not available (earrings aren't available but necklace is available for a different remake - please see below)
Materials: Please see below.
Much like its bracelet equivalent, this necklace consists of light lavender and bright purple pearls, deep purple round faceted chinese crystals, butterfly and flower links, and a lavender flower cabochon on an intricately-patterned charm

Just bright enough to be eye-catching and understated enough to be elegant. A paradox? Perhaps.

Item Code & Name: 083 Lush Lavender - Customised (Necklace)
Price: RM22.00 (necklace only)
Status: [Sold 3], Available for different remake (Remakes will use a different lavender flower cabochon)
Materials: Light Lavender and Bright Purple Faux Pearls, Deep Purple Round Faceted Chinese Crystals, Flower Cabochon, Intricately-Patterned Round Charm, Butterfly Links, Flower Link, Made with Love Charm
Measurements: Approximately 44cm (including clasp) + 4cm extender chain

Dainty lavender dahlia cabochons on square silver filigrees, butterfly links and light lavender + bright purple faux pearls.

Item Code & Name: 084 Lush Lavender - Customised (Earrings)
Status: Not Available (unless you want a complete change in colour? I do not have any lavender dahlia cabochons left)
Materials: Light Lavender and Bright Purple Faux Pearls, Butterfly Links, Lavender Dahlia Cabochons, Silver Filigrees

Alrighty, that's all from me for now.
If you see anything you like or would like customised, I am just an email away!

Daisies and Dahlias - Conclusion

Well my friends, that's the end of the Daisies and Dahlias collection.

It's been fun, especially with the introduction of customisable / made to order type trinkets.

Here's a concluding pic with all of the items from the collection, and I'll be back in the coming week to feature a variety of customised items as previously ordered by my lovely customers. :)

I love flower cabochons with the fire of a thousand suns! ◕‿◕✿

Have a wonderful week ahead. :)

Dashing Daisies | Daisies and Dahlias Collection: Part 7

Dashing through the snow
On a one-horse open sleigh
Over the hills we go
Laughing all the way!

Completely off-topic - it's not even Christmas yet! I just have one of those extremely suggestible brains where I hear a word and a song pops into my head. Say the word "Dashing" and my brain immediately supplies the music and lyrics to Jingle Bells. Yes, as if you needed more evidence of my eccentricities.

Moving on now (when will I finally learn to cut the crap and get to the point?)... Now is not the time for a Christmas Collection (though that is in the works!) - We have reached the end of the Daisies and Dahlias Collection. I'm a little sad to bid this collection goodbye, as I do so love the flower cabochons.

Without further ado, here's Dashing Daisies. ❀
A dashing slate-purple daisy cabochon on a flower filigree with alternating jet black and deep amethyst chinese crystal doughnuts, and dainty daisy links.
If Demure Daisies was a sweet and feminine bracelet, Dashing Daisies is the tall, dark and handsome (and dashing) equivalent.
Item Code & Name: 082 Dashing Daisies
Price: RM17.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Jet Black and Deep Amethyst Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Daisy Links, Daisy Cabochon, Flower-Shaped Filigree Link, Heart Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 17cm

So yes, folks, that's the last of the collection!

My daisy cabochons come in various other lovely colours, as you can see below!

1. Pearly White
2. Soft Peach
3. Shiny Peach
4. Slate Blue
5. Light Lavender
6. Hot Pink

If you'd like something unique customised from these daisy cabochons, do email me with your ideas and I'll see whether I can make them a reality! :)

Adieu~

Demure Daisies | Daisies and Dahlias Collection: Part 6

Happy mid-Autumn festival, my friends.
Oddly, the moon seems to be obscured by clouds / fog / haze -- I can't seem to see it from my house.
I'd like to take this opportunity to shamelessly promote one of my previous collections -- Fly Me To The Moon. It's a collection inspired by the night sky, and on this night of mooncakes and tradition and remembrance, I thought it would be fitting. :)

Now, moving on to the 6th part of the Daisies and Dahlias collection, here's Demure Daisies
Dusty pink / ivory faux pearls and little flower beads flanking the prettiest daisy cabochon -- such a lovely and soft shade of blush pink.
Sweet simplicity -- a perfect match to that pretty floral dress you have, or a white lace top, or anything, really.
The dainty antique-silver plated flower beads add a little personality to this demure-looking trinket. I find them rather pretty :)

Item Code & Name: 081 Demure Daisies
Price: RM17.00
Status: [Sold 3], Available for different remake (I've run out of this particular flower cabochon - it can be replaced with a pink dahlia (seen here!))
Materials: Dusty Pink and Ivory Faux Pearls, Flower Beads, Daisy Cabochon, Flower-Shaped Filigree Link, Heart Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 17.5cm

Good night folks!
I am now going to feast on some mooncakes and retire for the night.
Stay tuned for the last piece in the collection - Dashing Daisies! ❀

Divine Daisies | Daisies and Dahlias Collection: Part 5

Hello dear readers -

Today has been a long and tiring day at work, so this post will probably be less verbose, but equally random and incoherent. Haha. Hope you've had a less draining day than I have had.

We have come to the ❀ daisy ❀ part of the Daisies and Dahlias collection, which I have been looking forward to quite a bit! So while the dahlia cabochons were striking and intricate, these daisy cabochons are really lovely and true-to-life. You'll see what I mean when I gush over it further down. ;)
A chain of alternating faux pearls in shiny gold and pale yellow watercolour-print, with a sweet pale yellow daisy cabochon on a flower filigree at the centre. I tend to associate gold with opulence and divinity, hence the name - Divine Daisies.
The daisy cabochon has a yellow-circled centre, much like real daisies do. Also, its petals are not uniform and really quite intricately moulded. So lovely - they might be my favourite flower cabochon yet.
Item Code & Name: 080 Divine Daisies
Price: RM17.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Gold and Pale Yellow Watercolour-Print Faux Pearls, Daisy Cabochon, Flower-Shaped Filigree Link, Heart Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 18cm
As always, do remember that customisation is possible!
Also, if you'd prefer a different clasp or different length - just let me know via email :)

See you Thursday with the next installment:

Dainty Dahlias | Daisies and Dahlias Collection: Part 4

Sunday evening and I'm not feelin' the blues because tomorrow is a public holiday mooHAHA!

Outbursts of glee aside, I have to say that the most overused word on this blog is definitely "dainty". I think I use the word in almost every post. One could argue that it's branding, since my site is named Dainty Little Trinkets and all. Yeah, let's go with that. It's all part of my marketing savvy. Haha.

Today's post is the last in the Daisies and Dahlias Collection featuring dahlia cabochons. In the coming week, we're moving on to daisies! Here you have it - Dainty Dahlias:
A dainty, choker-style necklace in soft, sweet hues - dahlia cabochons in sweet pink, off-white and lilac; faux pearls in rosaline, ivory and dusty pink.

Close-up of the cabochons and pearls. I am so in love with this colour palette. It's like sugar and spice and all things nice. ◕‿◕✿ It's probably good to mention that this necklace is one-of-a-kind too -- once sold, not available for remakes!

As you can see, this necklace falls right at the clavicle. Suitable with pastel-coloured / floral-patterned clothing, though in this picture I am of course wearing my standard uniform of black. ;p

Item Code & Name: 079 Dainty Dahlias
Price: RM24.00
Status: [Sold], Available for different remake (I've run out of the off-white dahlia - this will have to be replaced by a different coloured dahlia - email me to find out more)
Materials: Dahlia Cabochons, Silver Filigrees Rosaline, Ivory and Dusty Pink Faux Pearls
Measurements: Approximately 41.5cm (including clasp) + 4.5cm extender chain

As mentioned, this is the only necklace available - once sold, not available for remakes!

Check out how to order here. :)

Up next, Divine Daisies

Dangling Dahlias | Daisies and Dahlias Collection: Part 3

Ahhh the beginning of long weekends - best feeling ever.

You may have guessed from the title that this 3rd installment of the Daisies and Dahlias collection features a pair of dangly earrings! It may be apparent to some regular readers that I am quite fond of the concept of twin dangling chains of asymmetrical length, as featured here and here. Being a creature of habit, I have of course made dahlia cabochon earrings with the same design (or does that just mean I'm lazy? Haha).

Cherry red dahlia cabochons and asymmetrical dangling chains capped off with jet black and ruby red chinese crystal doughnuts. For those who'd like a gothic/bombshell look for the day. *Rawrrrrr*
Again, this design comes in multiple colour themes, all with limited availability. When I say limited availability, I mean I only have a pair of each dahlia cabochon, so it will be the one and only pair in the world! That is hyperbole. Possibly. ❀
Item Code & Name: 078 Dangling Dahlias
Price: RM17.00
Status:
1. Cherry Red Dahlias + Jet Black and Ruby Red Chinese Crystal Doughnuts - [Sold], Not Available
2. Mint Green Dahlias + Pale Green and Frosted Green Chinese Crystal Doughnuts - Made to Order
3. Sunny Yellow Dahlias + Honey Topaz and Gold Chinese Crystal Doughnuts - Not Available
4. Brilliant Blue Dahlias + Jet Black and Cobalt Blue Chinese Crystal Doughnuts - Not Available
Materials: Dahlia Cabochons, Silver Filigrees, Chinese Crystal Doughnuts

I understand that it is probably difficult to make a decision to purchase a pair of earrings that you can't picture yet. Like, exactly what do I mean by "frosted green" or "honey topaz"? What do those colours even mean? Are they a figment of my overactive imagination? Hehe.

So if any of them pique your interest, and you'd like to see a picture, just drop me a line @ daintylittletrinkets@gmail.com and I'll get right on it!

Tomorrow's post will be a little different - stay tuned for Dainty Dahlias

Darling Dahlias | Daisies and Dahlias Collection: Part 2

Hello darlings! ^.^ ♥~

Darling is such a lovely term of endearment - encapsulating feelings of fondness and love - and only given to those that we cherish and hold dear. Part 2 of the Daisies and Dahlias collection features a sweet, simple necklace that hopefully encapsulates these feelings.
A sweet pink Dahlia cabochon on a round silver filigree, a pretty ribbon link and a chain made from linked hearts. ❀ Individually the components are quite basic, but I love how feminine and dainty the end product is.

Love how different parts of the shiny heart chain reflect light, with the ribbon link accentuating the intricate dahlia flower. This cabochon is of course much larger than the ones featured in the previous Dazzling Dahlias post, and hence worthy of pendant status. :p

Not a fan of pink? Not to worry - other colours are available!

Item Code & Name: 077 Darling Dahlias
Price: RM24.00
Status:
1. Pretty Pink Dahlia - [Sold], Available for remakes
2. Breezy Blue Dahlia - Made to Order
3. Regal Red Dahlia - Made to Order
4. Mellow Mint Dahlia - Made to Order
5. Vivacious Violet Dahlia - [Sold], Not available
Materials: Dahlia Cabochon, Round Silver Filigree, Antique Silver-Plated Ribbon Link, Linked Heart Chain
Measurements: Approximately 45cm (including clasp) + 4cm extender chain; Drop = 3.5cm

Like the previous post, some of these cabochons are limited, so if you like somethin', get somethin', darlin'
(Imagine that last sentence in a southern twang.)

Check out how to order here, and don't forget - customisation is always possible! :)

Now for something completely different and oozing masculinity and awesomeness, here's a clip from one of my favourite movies - Inception, featuring one of my favourite characters (Eames) and an awesome usage of the word "Darling". :p

Dangling Dahlias next! ❀
See ya Saturday.

Dazzling Dahlias | Daisies and Dahlias Collection: Part 1

Whee I am excited about this new collection! ◕‿◕✿

With this Daisies and Dahlias collection, I am introducing a new concept to this blogshop - Made to Order.
This means that while some items I am showcasing will be readily available, the same design can be made in different colours as and when I receive an order.

"Huh?" *confused reader scratches head because lousy blogger does not explain things well*
"How does this differ from customisation?", you say.
(Or these could just be voices in my head, I dunno (⊙ヮ⊙) <-- deranged face)

Well the difference is that I've already planned a few colour variations for the same design, so if you so happen to prefer say, lime green over emerald green, that option is there for you. Choices, choices. More choices = always good, no? ✿◠‿◠

The first installment is a pair of earrings that I am rather fond of - Dazzling Dahlias:

A pair of vintage pink Dahlia cabochons on silver filigrees, and a little bit of dazzle from the peach crystal teardrops.
I love the soft, dated look of the vintage pink cabochons. I also love the intricacy of the petals - they very much resemble actual dahlias! ❀

The pair above is readily available, and for more colour variations, please look at the picture below:
Item Code & Name: 076 Dazzling Dahlias
Price: RM17.00
Status:
1. Vintage Pink Dahlias + Peach Crystal Teardrops - [Sold], Not Available
2. Peach Dahlias + Peach Crystal Teardrops - Made to Order
3. Lime Green Dahlias + Forest Green Crystal Teardrops - Made to Order
4. Teal Green Dahlias + Emerald Green Crystal Teardrops - [Sold], Not Available
Materials: Dahlia Cabochons, Silver Filigrees, Chinese Crystal Teardrops

Hope the above is somewhat clearly articulated. If you have any questions, please email me! :)
Also, just to note that only one pair is available for each colour-theme, so hurry hurry before someone beats you to it!

Next up - Darling Dahlias - this Thursday. ❀

Au Revoir~

Daisies and Dahlias Collection - Masterpost

Ahoy there - time for a new collection!

I am not sure why I'm using Marine-speak, since seafaring and sailing and all that was for the last collection, and this new one certainly has nothing to do with the sea.

Since the last Dainty Little Flowers collection was quite popular, I thought it would be nice to showcase different types of flower cabochons in my designs, this time - Daisies and Dahlias. ❀

For the benefit of those who are not horticulturally-inclined, these are daisies:

Dainty little flowers that sometimes span an entire field. Tiny and often overlooked, but surprisingly resilient.

These are dahlias:
Lovely, eye-catching blossoms that symbolise dignity, elegance and an eternal bond.

So what do daisies and dahlias have in common?

Other than the fact that they both start with the alphabet D, daisies and dahlias also originate from the same plant family - the Asteraceae. Other than that, they're both pretty lah. Haha. That's all you need to know.

Starting this coming Tuesday, this collection will showcase various designs featuring daisy and dahlia cabochons:

And yes, if you're wondering, I did take great glee and joy in ensuring that everything was nicely alliterated. You'd be surprised how few adjectives there are that start with D that you could use to Definitively Describe your Delicate Designs. I think I've just about used all of them. ;)

Alright folks, though Dreary Monday looms near, Don't be Desolate or Despondent or Dismayed, instead Delight in all the things that you hold Dear.

Butterfly, Flutter By - Customised

Tis a lovely, rainy Saturday.
Hope you're having a lovely day like I am. :)

Today's post features yet another customised piece. One of my regular customers Gnie (hi if you're reading this!) wanted to customise a happy, rainbow-coloured necklace for her 3 year old daughter, along the veins of the previous Rainbow Sprinkles Collection.

So I drew inspiration from those trinkets and made the following piece for her. :)
Shiny faux pearls in merry and cheerful rainbow tones and a little butterfly link as the "pendant". Imagine a garden full of bright, beautiful flowers, and a single butterfly... fluttering by.
Closeup! I do so like the colourful pearls arranged neatly in a row. :)

Item Code & Name: 075 Butterfly, Flutter By
Price: RM16.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Shiny Rainbow and Ivory Faux Pearls, Butterfly Link
Measurements: Approximately 30.5cm (including clasp) + 3.5cm extender chain

Note: this necklace is intended for children, hence the short length. If you are an adult and would like a remake, adult-length necklaces (princess-style) tend to measure at 42-45cm. If you'd like a colourful piece for yourself, please do not hesitate to email me at daintylittletrinkets@gmail.com. :)

Tomorrow I unveil a new collection!
Excited I am!

Till then, see ya.
Live long and prosper *spock salute*

Sleek in Silver - Customised

Hola!
Has anyone been loving the rainy weather recently? I love it. I just want to snuggle under my quilt all day and never leave my bed. Haha. Anyway, onto today's post.

When I plan collections and make accessories, I sometimes have a general inkling as to whether an item will sell well or whether it'll be just one of those items that I'm making for my own intrinsic reasons. One of the items that unexpectedly sold really well is this bracelet that I made for Adeline - Pretty in Pink. It has sold so well, in fact, that I have run out of the adorable flower bead in it. Never fear - I have found an equally cute flower bead in replacement, so there's that. :)

A really sweet customer, Meiyih, emailed me a few weeks ago to customise this bracelet for a friend. She really liked the design of the bracelet, but was looking at different colour schemes. So I suggested a couple and Voila! The Pretty in Pink bracelet was transformed into Sleek in Silver:
Instead of pink and ivory, sleek silver and midnight blue pearls adorn this bracelet. The colour scheme is very much taken from the palette of the Fly Me To The Moon Collection.
With a change in colour scheme, the dainty and sweet bracelet has been transformed into something classy and refined. You could even buy both bracelets and wear them alternately during the day/night. You know - Pretty by Day and Sleek by Night.
Item Code & Name: 085 Sleek in Silver
Price: RM14.00
Status: [Sold], Available for different remake (Remakes will use a different flower bead and will cost RM16 coz the new flower bead is pricier - do email if you'd like to see how this bead looks)
Materials:  Silver, Dark Silver and Midnight Blue Faux Pearls, Antique Silver-Plated Flower Beads, Heart Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 17cm (including clasp) + 2.5cm extender chain

Anchor of Hope - Customised

With another collection completed, I thought it was time to feature some of the customised designs that my lovely customers have ordered over the past few months. I love it when I get emails about customisation, because it means that customers are taking a unique interest in creating something that is truly representative of them or the person they are giving it to! :)

Following the Personalised Statement Bracelets Collection that I published in July, there have been a couple of requests for customisation. Here is a bracelet customised for April, who liked the Anchor of Hope design but has tiny wrists like me, and so requested for it to be shorter while also incorporating some links and charms of her own choice.
Staying true to the original purple and black colour scheme, this customised bracelet incorporates a Chinese knot link symbolising the bond of friendship and family, and a Love charm to represent the underlying foundation of these relationships.
I actually really like this customised bracelet. It is less symmetrical than the original and the asymmetry is très refreshing and unique. Trust my customers to have brighter ideas than my own! :D

Item Code & Name: 070 Anchor of Hope - Customised
Price: RM23.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes (but of course you're highly encouraged to personalise it to be uniquely yours!)
Materials: Deep Purple Round Faceted Chinese Crystals, Bright Purple Faux Pearls, Jet Black Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Round Double Twisted Ring Link, Chinese Knot Link, Anchor Charm, Love Charm, Hope Bead, Amethyst Blend Swarovski Heart
Measurements: Approximately 14.5cm (including clasp) + 2.5cm extender chain

District 4 | Dreaming of the Sea Collection: Part 5

As we near the end of Sunday *wails*, we've also come to the end of the Dreaming of the Sea Collection.

For some reason, I always seem to really love the last piece in every collection I'm making. This is true for the coming set as well, named District 4 in homage to one of my favourite characters from The Hunger Games - the dashing and beguiling Finnick Odair.

Now Finnick only starts to make his appearance in Catching Fire, and since the movie sequel in this completely nerve-wrecking and heart-breaking post-apocalyptic dystopian trilogy will be released soon (well - soon is relative; to me November is bloody far away) - I thought it was an apt time to pay tribute to him - one of the Hunger Games Universe's greatest and most popular tributes, whose intriguing depths and sad, tragic past are more than meets the eye.

Finnick hails from the idyllic District 4 - the only district near the ocean where people make a living from the sea (Note: I use the term "living" loosely, since they are all oppressed beyond measure). He would've grown up taking to the ocean like a fish to water, with lovely views of green and blue as far as the eye can see, wielding tridents and weaving nets like any fisherman could, navigating boats like any seafarer could. We see the strong, tactical, cavalier parts of Finnick a lot, with his backstory and heart only revealed much later on. I loved the revelation of Annie - how fiercely and desperately he loved her; how they found each other in a sea of desolation and trauma and loved each other in spite of their scars. So truly, this set is more a tribute to them than anything else - their love and the life they could have had together. *cries*
Shades along the spectrum of blue and green - crystals ranging from aquamarine to cloudy blue opal to sea-green to emerald. At the centre - the heart of District 4 - a steer charm to represent Finnick - he who protected Annie and took her hand and led her away from her traumatic encounters in the Games; an anchor charm to represent Annie - she who kept Finnick grounded in a jaded world of overindulgence and petty materialism; and their love for each other binding them together - represented by a stunning bermuda blue AB swarovski heart.

Item Code & Name: SET012 District 4
Price: RM28.00 (bracelet + earrings) - items can be sold separately, please look below.
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Please see below.
I love the range of colours that depict the different temperaments of the ocean - as breathtakingly gorgeous as it is mysterious and treacherous, full of hidden depths - much like Finnick and Annie. I also am completely taken with the Bermuda Blue AB Swarovski Heart - what a strikingly gorgeous colour!

Item Code & Name: 068 District 4 (Bracelet)
Price: RM24.00 (bracelet only)
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Aquamarine, Sea-green, Cloudy Blue Opal and Emerald Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Aquamarine Czech "Preciosa" Fire-Polished Glass Beads, Starfish Link, Dolphin Charm, Steer Charm, Anchor Charm, Bermuda Blue AB Swarovski Heart
Measurements: Approximately 16.5cm (including clasp) + 3cm extender chain

Dainty little asymmetrical earrings to complement the bracelet - one with a steer and one with an anchor - two objects that work in tandem; two functions that intertwine.
Item Code & Name: 069 District 4 (Earrings)
Price: RM8.00 (earrings only)
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Aquamarine, Emerald, Sea-Green and Sapphire Chinese Crystal Doughnuts, Steer Charm, Anchor Charm

There we have it, the end of the Dreaming of the Sea Collection.

If I haven't at least convinced you to purchase this set that is near and dear to my heart, I hope I've at least convinced you to read The Hunger Games books. :) Also, if you are a fan of the series, do check out other Hunger Games-themed accessories that I've made: here.

Happy September y'all.

Hope you'll get to visit the sea soon - to breathe in the balmy ocean air, to have the waves rush up to your ankles as you walk along the seashore, to watch and appreciate the magnificence and beauty of God's creation.
