Footprints | La Perla Collection: Part 2

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"

The Lord replied,
"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints,
is when I carried you."

- Mary Stevenson

This poem was one that touched me a lot when I first came to know God. Hope it has touched you too. :)

Part 2 of the La Perla Collection features a footprint charm that has never featured in any Dainty Little Trinket to this date. :) I've been wanting to make something with this charm for sometime now. With no further ado - here it is:
Alternating rosaline and pale blue pearls, a celtic knot link to represent the bonds of family and friends, a footprint charm, and two words of encouragement - hope. courage.
The rosaline and pale blue pearls are also typically colours used to represent new born baby girls and baby boys, with the little footprint charms looking like little baby toes. This would make quite a suitable gift for new mothers - to give hope, to give courage.
Item Code & Name: 277 Footprints
Price: RM18.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Rosaline and Pale Blue Faux Pearls, Celtic Knot Link, Footprint Charm, Hope Bead, Courage Bead
Measurements: Approximately 17cm (including clasp) + 2.5cm extender chain

Whatever you are going through, always know that Someone is watching over you, and that He will carry you through.

Rainbow Promotion with I Can't Sew - Part 2

Monday blues.

There's nothing like coming home from a traffic jam of epic proportions caused by a thunderstorm of epic proportions to find that your kitchen was invaded by intelligent (EVIL!) monkeys who managed to eat all your bananas, open your fridge, break half a dozen eggs, and take a dump as a "thank you", leaving your entire kitchen floor a bloody mess.

Hope your Monday is better than mine. :p

Anyway, here's our second collaboration with I Can't Sew for their Rainbow Proportion - a promo package in shades of blue (Monday blues!) and black (as black as my anger for those creatures!)
A gorgeous work dress with cobalt blue peplum accents, matched with the midnight blue and black shades of the Dark Night bracelet and earring set.

Priced normally at RM86, this deal is available for only RM50! Again, super worth it, but only 1 package exists and it expires on 15 August, so go get it before time runs out!

May your Tuesday be better than your Monday!
G'night.

Midsummer Night's Dream | La Perla Collection: Part 1

"Are you sure
That we are awake? It seems to me
That yet we sleep, we dream."
- Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

Part 1 of the La Perla Collection features a bracelet that attempts to recreate the fantasy and the ethereal aspect one of Shakespeare's classics. Imagine a dream in the middle of a warm summer night -
Midnight blue pearls to represent a midsummer night, burgundy pearls to represent one's dream-like, surreal state of mind, accompanied by moon and star charms.
Two of the midnight blue pearls at the midway point of each side are slightly larger - reflecting the different sizes of constellations in the night sky. I wouldn't have thought that this colour combination would work until I combined them - I like the rich and ethereal quality that the colours evoke.

Item Code & Name: 276 Midsummer Night's Dream
Price: RM15.00
Status: Available
Materials: Burgundy and Midnight Blue Faux Pearls, Moon Charm, Star Charm, Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 18cm (including clasp)

All orders and enquiries can be made to

Tonight~ may you have a fantastical adventure in your personal little midsummer night's dream.

La Perla - Collection Masterpost

Ladies and gentlefriends,
it has been a while since the last collection - one month and three days to be exact - and so it is time to begin another. :)

Now, for the uninitiated, La Perla is predominantly known as a lingerie brand. I first heard of it from the mouth of Paula Abdul, on American Idol. Obviously I can't remember the context in which she was talking about lingerie on a reality tv show about singing (say what?!), but the words "La Perla" have stuck with me ever since.

This is obviously not a collection on lingerie, so I thought I'd explain that La Perla is spanish for Pearl. And this collection is a collection for all things pearly! Over the next week or so, get ready to see some accessory designs incorporating a variety of pretty, shiny faux pearls.

So pretty right, this picture?
I mooched it off the internet. :p

A collection of dainty little pearl trinkets coming your way, starting from tomorrow - Sunday!

Part 2: Footprints
Part 3: Freedom
Part 4: Black & Gold
Part 5: Ombre

Check out some previous collections here.

See you real soon!

Eternal Flame

Happy Thursday - the weekend is near!

Today's post delves back into the land of the asymmetrical. It is also possibly one of my favourite creations ever, because of the simplicity of the design and the adjustable nature of the necklace. I think it's super cool. But then I think a lot of my creations are super cool. Haha, self praise = no praise, I know, I know. ◕‿◕✿

Onto the actual point of this post. First up - pictures!

An infinity symbol linked to the other side of the necklace, ending with a flame-red Swarovski heart.

Is this burning an eternal flame?

The special thing about this necklace is that the length of the necklace can be adjusted to suit your taste, simply by moving the infinity link up and down the chain from the other side. I shall illustrate with loads of gratuitous selfies of my own neck. I have more selfies of my neck than of my face. Heh.

Exhibit A: Here's the regular length of the necklace. The infinity link falls a bit below the clavicle, with the Swarovski heart dangling down the sternum. (Gee, sure hope I haven't gotten my body parts wrong)

Exhibit B: Not a fan of the plunging heart? Wear the necklace with the infinity link right next to the Swarovski heart.

Exhibit C: My favourite. For dramatic effect, wear the necklace like a choker, with the Swarovski heart plunging down your... plunging neckline.

In conclusion, I love this necklace! It's simple but it's fun and it's très chic to boot!
Would you like to make it yours today?

Item Code & Name: 275 Eternal Flame
Price: RM18.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Infinity Link, Swarovski Heart
Measurements: Approximately 43cm (including clasp), drop = 4.5cm (length adjustable to whatever you want it to be!)

If you like this necklace but would prefer a different coloured Swarovski heart, just email me!

Close your eyes
Give me your hand darling
Do you feel my heart beating
Do you understand
Do you feel the same
Am I only dreaming

Or is this burning an eternal flame?

Madame Butterfly

Hello people!

Today's post features something I made for a friend, but because I haven't actually given this present to this friend yet, I'll have to be mildly cryptic. Once upon a time, my friend told me this joke:

Why did the man climb up a tower to throw butter out of the window?
To watch the butter fly!

Haha, what a ridiculously corny joke, but this friend of mine was tickled pink by it. She continues to be so amused that she can't say this joke without laughing her head off. We laugh because she laughs!

Long story short, I've always associated butterflies with her.
So here's a little handbag charm for Miss A. If you're reading this, let's meet up soon so I can give this to you! <3
A handbag charm with the alphabet A, a rosaline crystal, a vintage pink dahlia on an intricate flower filigree, a butterfly charm, and a Live. Laugh. Love. charm. Sweet and dainty, just like the one who'll be receiving this keepsake. :)
Item Code & Name: 274 Madame Butterfly
Price: RM19.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Rosaline Chinese Crystal Doughnut, Vintage Pink Dahlia Cabochon, Flower Filigree, Butterfly Charm, Alphabet Charm, Live Laugh Love Charm

This handbag charm draws inspiration from the items in the Words to Live By collection. Check that out here!
If you like handbag charms, there's more here!
Also, need I remind you that there's a clearance sale going on? :)

Happy birthday, A. May your life have lots of laughter and love in it, always.

Red Earth

On leave today. :D
Been on a Vampire Diaries marathon. Didn't expect the storyline to be as compelling as it's been. Heh, compelling. Only just finished Season 2, and I'm eager to continue, so this shall be a short post!

It's been a while since I made a pair of asymmetrical earrings, so here's one in shades of red, gold, and brown:

Red Earth: asymmetrically-arranged flower disc beads, maroon faux pearls and round-faceted chinese crystals in shades of smoked topaz, brown and honey topaz.
Item Code & Name: 273 Red Earth
Price: RM8.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Maroon Faux Pearls, Smoked Topaz, Brown & Honey Topaz Round-Faceted Chinese Crystals, Flower Disc Beads

I like the earthy red tones of this piece. Such rich, warm autumn colours!

If you like, you can order this at

Going back to the riveting tale of vampires, witches and Mystic Falls now.

The Ring

Happy Saturday!

Following along the line of "mysterious" names I've been giving my creations, this post is about The Ring.

I remember a time in the early 2000s where Japanese and Korean horror movies were all the rage. And creepy they were - always featuring young, pale, child-like ghosts with pupils as black as night and stares more horrifying than zombies / vampires / werewolves. *shivers* What started it off, of course, seems to be a movie called The Ring. Being a scaredy-cat of all things supernatural, I steered clear of watching the Japanese version, but got roped into watching the American remake. That was bone-chilling enough, and I hear that the Japanese version is infinitely scarier. Was quite afraid of things crawling out of my laptop screen for a while. Brrrr.

Anyway, that's just lil' old me reminiscing. It has nothing to do with this post, as this post is about a simple suede bracelet, which happens to contain a "ring".
Back to basics - dark grey suede connected to a diamond-cut faceted ring.
I made this for myself because I wanted a suede bracelet, and my tastes veer towards the simple, straight-laced designs.
Item Code & Name: 272 The Ring
Price: RM10.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Diamond-Cut Faceted Ring, Suede, Grey Chinese Crystal Doughnut
Measurements: Approximately 15cm (including clasp) + 2cm extender chain

All orders / enquiries can be made at

Enjoy your weekend, folks.
