Sunshine

Alas!

The shopping bug has bitten and I have been going on a half-crazed bead-shopping binge these past few days. I am now surrounded by a mass of my shiny new purchases and my eyes are gleaming with the sparkle reflected off of the beads and charms and I am slowly starting to transform into Smaug - he who hoards treasure and breathes fire at anyone who dares disturb him (I only wish I could be like him, haha).

Wow, that was a long monologue, but I guess this blog is basically one long, extended monologue from me, so I'm guessing you either skim over all my text and stare at pictures only, or you actually find my neurosis amusing. Heh.

ANYWAY.

Today's post is dedicated to Ren, who is a hardworking PhD student in the windy land of Wellington. She's always a ray (or multiple rays) of Sunshine, always a friend of the world and always ready for all sorts of fun and hijinks. Here's a little bookmark I made for her. (Ren if you're reading this, come back and claim it! Haha)
A flower-and-sunny-yellow-themed bookmark: yellow and white-striped faux pearls, a diamond link, a gorgeous yellow rose and a Never Give Up charm.
Item Code & Name: 285 Sunshine
Price: RM22.00
Status: [Sold], Not Available (I've run out of this yellow rose, but I have roses of other colours. Email me if you're interested!)

Check out other bookmark designs here! All totally customisable. :)

For any orders / enquiries, please email

Thank ye!
Time to go back to staring at my preciousssssssss treasures.
Toodles!

Chandelier

I've always had a fascination with chandeliers -
these ornate fixtures that speak of opulence and extravagance,
exquisitely assembled crystals dangling and radiating light towards those below.

So dramatic and eye-catching are these chandeliers that they've even featured as a main prop in the Phantom of the Opera, where it sails over the heads of the audience and crashes onto the stage. Ah, gotta love that.

Here is my attempt at creating a pair of earrings that look like miniature chandeliers:

Silver-clear and emerald crystal teardrops dangle from an ornate flower link like tiny sparkling crystals on a chandelier.
I see this pair of earrings and I think - Slytherin colours! /geek. :D

Item Code & Name: 284 Chandelier
Price: RM8.00
Status: [Sold 2], Available for remakes
Materials: Silver-Clear & Emerald Chinese Crystal Teardrops, Flower Links

Not a fan of green? The emerald crystal teardrops can also be replaced with burgundy crystal teardrops.

Just email me at

Check out some customised trinkets over here!

In tribute to the Phantom of the Opera, I shall bid you good night with the Music of the Night:

Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor
Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender
Turn your face away from the garish light of day
Turn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light
And listen to the music of the night

Preciosa

Those who are familiar with my blog will know that I absolutely adore Czech Fire-Polished "Preciosa" Glass Beads. Those who have the patience to read my ramblings will also know that I am fond of the colour black and that my wardrobe consists of a lot of black.

As one of the birthday presents to myself (I've been giving myself lots of presents, narcissist that I am), I made a bracelet out of Preciosa glass beads, in shades of black, silver and gray. All the better to match all your clothing with. In fact, I just wore the bracelet today. :D Here it is~
Dark Gray, Montana AB and Metallic Gray Czech Preciosa beads, with two dainty celtic heart beads thrown into the mix,
My favourite bead would be the Montana AB ones (in between the Dark Gray and Metallic Gray beads) because of the lovely blueish-silver shine that is reflected on certain facets of the bead.
Item Code & Name: 283 Preciosa
Price: RM20.00
Status: Available for remakes
Materials: Dark Gray / Montana AB / Metallic Gray Czech "Preciosa" Fire-Polished Glass Beads, Celtic Heart Beads, Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 15cm (including clasp)

I've been told that my wrists are freakishly small, so this bracelet can be lengthened to 17cm (the addition of two celtic heart beads) at no extra charge. :) Just email me at daintylittletrinkets@gmail.com to discuss things further!

If you love the look of these Preciosa beads and would like to see more creations featuring them, check out this link! :)

'Twas a tiring Tuesday for me, so I shall now retire to bed.

Good night
Sleep tight
Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Sunday Stylefile #5

Tis the end of the weekend and tis almost the end of August, my friends.

That means another Sunday Stylefile, which, for the uninitiated, is an avenue for me to drool over clothes under the pretense of "matching" them with one of my accessories. :D It's a fun thing to do! Check out the other Sunday Stylefiles for some pretty clothing. :)

This month's accessory in question is the Painted Black bracelet.
Sleek silver and black tones, with little hints of femininity from the Love and flower links, and a Silver Night Swarovski Heart. I have obviously chosen to match them with three gorgeous little black dresses, as seen here:

On ze left, look stunning and elegant with the sleek black Mesh Hem Dress from Dressabelle.
In ze middle, indulge in a little traditional flair by donning this gorgeous Renaissance Flare Dress from Whitesoot.
On ze right, spend a day out in the sun in this fun and feminine Polka Dot Floral Dress from Hutz Fashion.

*Disclaimer* I own not the images above, they are from the sites that I have credited.
Click on the links to go buy them pretty dresses. :)
The Painted Black bracelet can be purchased at 10% off from now till the next Sunday Stylefile post. Originally RM19, it''ll now cost RM17. Check out more pictures of the bracelet here.

Reinventions

One of my favourite things to do is reinvent old knick-knacks.

When my friend Jah wanted to recycle an old chunky bracelet, I thought it'd be cool to take it apart and make earrings out of them! Voila - one bracelet now has become two pairs of earrings. :)

Wirework using miyuki beads in shades of gold and brown - whoever made these initial circular and square bits is definitely far more skilled than I am. :) They make two pretty pairs of funky earrings,  no? :D

Status: Not Available
Materials: An old bracelet :D

Happy Saturday, my friends!

Sorry for the lack of new content this week. There's some new stuff coming up this week! :)
In the meantime, check out the clearance sale!

Hummingbird

So, the last post was about this beautiful Sterling Silver double infinity link that I purchased from a cool silversmith from the U.S. When I was perusing this person's exquisite creations, I couldn't resist buying something for myself too!

Here's an adorable little hummingbird pendant, which I've paired with a tiny aquamarine Swarovski bicone.

Status: Not Available
Materials: Hummingbird Charm, Aquamarine Swarovski Bicone

If only shipping from the U.S weren't so expensive!

Looks like this has been a week of posting unavailble things, but if you'd like to stay and browse some items, just check out the Available or Available for Remakes sections!

Double Infinity

Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.

Guess the quote. :)

In one of the tv shows that I used to love and watch regularly - Revenge - a father asks his daughter: "Do you know how much I love you? Infinity times infinity." Cheesy though it may be, the idea of loving someone so much that infinity isn't enough, that your love is bigger than an infinity, is a beautiful one.

I made a necklace for my friend using a sterling silver double-infinity charm imported all the way from some super cool artisan in the U.S. It's not available for remakes, but I thought I'd share it anyway, coz the charm is exquisitely beautiful.
Infinity times Infinity - I love the way the two infinity symbols intertwine with each other.

Status: Not Available
Materials: Double Infinity Charm

Happy birthday my friend.
May you find one who loves you infinitely, always.

If you like the infinity symbol, check out some (single) infinity charm creations here, here and here.

Ombré | La Perla Collection: Part 5

Ombré
- colours or tones that shade into each other; a gradient of colours.

Ombré has been all the rage lately in fashion. I've definitely coveted those gorgeous ombré hairstyles we see so much everywhere, and clothing with colour gradients are just so very pretty. Since the hairstyles are super expensive to get and maintain, I've gone for the next best thing - making "ombré" earrings!

Here's the last part of the La Perla collection, featuring faux pearls in a colour gradient -

Faux pearls in a gradient of dusty pink - soft lilac - dusty purple - burgundy.
Item Code & Name: 280 Ombré
Price: RM8.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Dusty Pink, Soft Lilac, Dusty Purple, Burgundy Faux Pearls

Gotta love them colour gradients.
I think the soft sheen of the faux pearls and the combination of the gradient of colours are very pretty indeed, making them my favourite of this collection.

Thus ends another collection!

Black & Gold | La Perla Collection: Part 4

Short post because Saturdays are meant to be enjoyed outdoors!

Though I am loving the pitter-patter of fresh rain outside. :)

So you may have noticed that the La Perla collection contains faux pearls in the more unconventional colour combinations -- midnight blue and burgundy, rosaline with baby blue, shiny rainbow shades. This bracelet aims for style and class - shades of Black & Gold. Gaya. Mutu. Keunggulan. :p
Soft gold faux pearls interspersed with black faux pearls with gold swirls on them, with a round double twisted ring at the centre.
Encased within the round double twisted ring is a smaller black pearl, this one with gold and silver swirls.
Item Code & Name: 279 Black & Gold
Price: RM15.00
Status: [Sold], Available for remakes
Materials: Black Faux Pearls with Gold Swirls, Soft Gold Faux Pearls, Round Double Twisted Ring, Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 17.5cm (including clasp)

If you'd like to order, I am just an email away! :)

Happy Saturday, y'all.

Freedom | La Perla Collection: Part 3

Hello all!

Short post 'cause I'm feeling under the weather and I'm exhausted from work.

We've reached the mid-point of the La Perla collection! Today's post will feature a bracelet made of shiny faux pearls in all colours of the rainbow, which will hopefully lift your mood and brighten up a dreary day.
A wish for freedom - a swallow flying towards a rainbow strewn sky.
The swallow remains one of my favourite links to date, and I feel that it is particularly apt for this piece. :)
Item Code & Name: 278 Freedom
Price: RM15.00
Status: Available
Materials: Shiny Rainbow Faux Pearls, Swallow Link, Wish Charm, Toggle Clasp
Measurements: Approximately 17cm (including clasp)
