Oh, Mondays.

Mondays aren't fun days.

But the worst is over and it's 4 more days till the weekend!

You know what else starts with the letter M? Mushrooms and Macarons! Way back when, I posted this Jars of Clay collection, featuring clay beads and charms. Among these beads and charms were the cutest mushroom and macaron charms ever. :)

 

Jaycee wanted to customise some handbag charms for herself and for her friends, and wanted to include both these charms. Here are the matching accessories. :)

 Swarovski Hearts that dangle from ribbon links, faux pearls, macarons and mushrooms, and a reminder to never, never give up! Amulette is French for "amulet" or "charm". From left to right --> rose, pourpre, rouge (French for pink, purple and red respectively).

Cupid Strikes

Hello!

Sorry I've been missing in action. I wanted to post yesterday, but was so tired I fell asleep at 9pm. (If that's not a sign of ageing, I don't know what is!). It's been a busy, tiring couple of workdays, so yay TGIF!

Before I go off and enjoy the start of my weekend, here's a pretty necklace customised by Melanie. She liked the circle links and arrow links from the Noir bracelet, and after a few revisions to it, we arrived at this design in sweet rosaline and lilac tones.

A slightly asymmetrical necklace with rosaline faux pearls and chinese crystal doughnuts accompanying circle and arrow links on each side, with a lilac rose cabochon pendant and twin dangling chains.

 Named Cupid Strikes for the little arrow heart links and circle links (almost like Cupid's target). This is possibly one of Dainty Little Trinkets' sweetest creations. :)

Let's keep this post simple and sweet, like today's featured Dainty Little Trinket. :)

Melanie, who is a great collector of necklaces, customised a couple more necklaces from me, which shall feature periodically on this blog. Here is one of the simpler necklaces, as there is elegance and class in simplicity. :)

 Named Ariana as it was customised from this Ariella necklace, this simple necklace features tiny silver faux pearls and clover links at the clavicle area, with a simple Swarovski heart pendant.

Vintage Spring

Good evening, ladyfolk. 

I am suffering from Sunday Night Blues and also a pounding headache, so this post shall be as short as succinct as I can be (i.e. short for me, but still too cheonghei for the regular person) :p

Here's a bookmark that reminds me of springtime...  the kind of spring that you daydream about, a half-faded memory, a certain sense of nostalgia, wistful feelings for a time gone by...

I used to have a silver version of this bookmark, which is unfortunately not available anymore. This antique brass version is equally (if not more) beautiful, though. :)

Ah, music. What would we do without it?​ I've been a fan of music and singing (at the top of my lungs, in showers and in cars, everywhere, all the time) since a very young age. Music is such a big part of how we navigate the world and express emotions and relate to one another.

One other person who appreciates music as much as I do, or probably more so, is Shyuan. This is a little bookmark I made for her. :)

For Ivy

This is a belated birthday shoutout to Ivy, who celebrated her birthday early this month. :)

Ivy is getting married soon as well, so this birthday gift was made for her with one of the most important events in her life (or more like a journey, since it is a neverending one, hehe) in mind. Love is a many splendoured thing, it is patient, it is kind... all you need is love, love is all you need (this is me quoting all the songs and bible verses that immediately come to mind). 

So this is a birthday gift to Ivy - wishing her lots of love, and joy, and adventures in this momentous year!

An asymmetrical necklace, because Ivy is a fan of the quirky and asymmetrical, with an adjustable Swarovski Heart pendant, adjusted by moving the chain up and down the Believe ring at the centre. 

 A close up of the ever-stunning Swarovski heart in rich red, which is accompanied by a clover link and a deep red chinese crystal doughnut. The Believe ring is one of my more recent finds, and I love it quite a bit. :)

Summer Daze - Customised

Goodbye weekend and hello Monday.

If I had the means, I would spend my days lazing about some pristine, isolated beach, with only the sun and sand and sea to accompany me. Once upon a time, on one fine Australian summer day, I had just completed my thesis and essentially finished my degree, so life was good and carefree, and I did just that - 3 wonderful hours of Australian sun on the beach.

You could call it Summer Daze - that feeling of being so sun-kissed and warm that you're all mellow and warm and slightly dazed. (Of course, I subsequently got the world's worst sunburn and walked around looking like a lobster for a whole 2 weeks. But that's a grandma story from a bygone era.)

I've named this creation, another necklace customised for Melanie, Summer Daze, as the pale yellow flower-print and gold pearls remind me of a lazy, hazy summer day. :) 

 A chain of alternating faux pearls in shiny gold and pale yellow flower-print, interspersed with clover and flower links, with a pale off-white sunflower as a pendant.

 The off-white sunflower cabochon is glued to a pretty flower filigree, giving the necklace a sweet and feminine touch.

Eternal Winter - Customised

Wishing y'all a good weekend ahead.

I have to work on both Saturday and Sunday, so it's not exactly funtimes for me... but... you know, gotta make a living somehow. :p The accessory-making alone cannot feed and clothe me!

One of my favourite things that I have ever made is the Eternal Flame necklace (click here for the red version, or the blue / silver versions). It's simple, quirky and elegant. I've been itching to make something similar for quite a while now, and the right opportunity came along when Melanie requested an asymmetrical necklace using a snowflake instead of the infinity link.

Here's Eternal Winter -

 A snowflake charm linked to a midnight blue faux pearl, a clover link and a stunning Bermuda Blue Swarovski Heart.

 Blue and silver always makes for such a pretty combination, especially when it involves a stunningly gorgeous Bermuda Blue Swarovski Heart. The length of the pendant can be adjusted by moving the chain up and down the snowflake charm.

Long time no see!

Let's pretend that it's still February, and that it's still Sunday, for I have missed posting last month's Sunday Stylefile! I've been busy with family time, as the little bro has only just left the country for the Land Down Under (again).
